Author's Note:
So before you start off, this chapter is kind of a two-parter, so I'm posting both today. I don't want there to be a pause in the action for anyone who's reading, so I'll just say all the boring stuff up here! Thank you so much for reading, and please don't forget to vote and comment!

I stare at her.
"You can't trust him, Kanna..."
Vanessa's words fade into the background as everything starts to spin. The ground is falling away from under me.
Lu killed Toby.
I shoot up, tripping over my own feet as I stumble away from Vanessa. "No, no. You're lying. You're a liar, Lu says you're a liar."
She reaches towards me and says something, but her face is fuzzy in my vision and her her voice sounds like it's underwater.
"Liar, liar, liar..." I mutter to myself, turning away from her. I feel a hand touch my arm, but I pull away. "Liar, liar." I start moving down the hallway. It's swaying back and forth, making it hard for me to keep moving. "Liar, liar, liar, liar..." I make it to the end of the hallway and move to push open the door. I feel something grab onto my shirt, but I move away and shut the door behind me.
"Kanna?"
I barely hear Lu's sleepy words as I run towards him, stumbling and falling into his arms. "Va... Vanessa... here..."
"What?" Lu's blurry face starts to come into perspective as I wipe tears from my eyes. "Vanessa's here?"
I nod.
Lu's face instantly becomes hard. "Wait in here." He moves away from me and storms out of the room, slamming the door behind him. I stand there, staring at the door. A few seconds pass by.
And then I hear a scream come from the hallway.
My eyes widen. Oh no... what did I do? I shove open the door and watch as Lu grabs Vanessa's arm and slams her into the wall. A large crack snaps through the air and Vanessa screams again, holding her arm in agony.
Lu killed Toby.
"Stop!" I scream.
Lu looks up at me, surprised.
"Stop hurting her," I whisper. I stumble forwards and gently grab onto his hand. "Please."
Confusion entangles Lu's eyes. "But she's trying to take you away from me..."
"Did you kill Toby?" My voice breaks, but I force myself through the question. A tear slips down my cheek.
Lu opens his mouth, then closes it, uneasy. "No."
"Don't lie to me. If you lie, I'll never forgive you." I wait, not breaking eye contact as we stare at each other for a long time.
Finally, he utters one simple word.
"Yes."
Vanessa scrambles away as Lu steps towards me.
"Look, I didn't want to hurt him, I..."
"So you killed him?" I feel dizzy. Black spots are beginning to cloud my vision.
"What's your name?"
"Toby."
"Toby, huh?"
"At least, I think it's Toby. That's what the lady called me."
"He was just a tool, Vanessa was..."
"I don't care what Vanessa was doing!" I shout. "How could you!?"
Lu reaches for my arm, but I take off in the opposite direction and shove my way into the square room.
"Why do you scream in your sleep?"
"The life I had before I ended up here wasn't... it wasn't a good life. Are you remembering anything yet?"
"Yeah."
"What is it?"
"I didn't have a good life either."
He killed him. He was the one who stabbed him to death.
It was Lu.
It was all Lu.
"What do you mean?"
"Someone killed Toby! Someone's in here with us!"
And that's when I see it.
Just for a moment.
The tiniest smile, spreading across Lu's face.
But in a split second, it's gone, replaced immediately by fear and confusion. Did I just imagine it?
My eyes grow wide as the memory slams into my head.
Lu was lying. That whole time, he was lying. He was pretending.
I make my way into the other hallway, pushing forwards and shoving into a random zone. I have to get away from him... I can't let him kill me too.
The door shuts behind me, and instantly fear shoots through my veins as I see the dark room before me and feel the crunch beneath my feet.
I picked the wrong zone to dash into.
And then I hear the door open again behind me, and turn to see black hair whipping around Vanessa's face as she farts in after me. "Run!" She grabs my arm and we dash away from where the door was. I feel an all too familiar sting as glass seeps into my makeshift shoes. Light spreads around us as the door opens again.
"Wait! Kanna!" Lu screams.
Vanessa pulls harder as we keep running, turning sharply in a different direction. I try to keep my feet from slipping on the uneven surface of the glass.
The door closes.
We're all trapped in here now.
Vanessa, me, and Lu.
Vanessa, me, and a murderer.
