Twisted Moon - Book 3 of the Black Moon series - Chapter 59: Exciting News!
(Noah's POV - Wed 17 June 2015)
Liam - Hey Peanut! We're going out for lunch today. Be ready by 12:15. Have fun with your plans... 😏😈
It is almost ten in the morning when I receive this text from Liam. I am alone in the large meeting room, trying to sort out some plans for the architects before they send them to archives. This is definitely not the most exciting task, but I still get to admire their work. I wish I could do such beautiful artwork. I will probably manage in a few years, once I am done with my studies and after a few years of professional experience, but for now, I am not anywhere close to achieving such details.
This is the middle of the second – and unfortunately last – week of my short internship at Pierce Constructions, and I have appreciated every minute of it. The first Monday morning was dedicated to boring formalities, which included a tour of the entire building, reading policies and being introduced to dozens of people. The day had beautifully started with a delicious blowjob from Daddy, so I was relaxed enough not to complain. After that, I was finally left in the hands of the Projects teams and from then on, I have enjoyed all the time I have spent there.
Being really curious to find out about each of their job functions, I had to fight my somewhat shyness, but they have been so nice and made me so comfortable that I quickly felt at ease. I asked them so many questions that some of architects and designers eventually decided to let me try the tools they use, be it the designers' software to create beautiful interiors or the architects' to draw plans. Before I started this internship, I couldn't tell which of the jobs I would prefer, but I quickly found out that I am more appealed to the architects' work. A lot is done on computers, which is interesting, but I love that it still implies some hand drawing, whereas the designers only work with programs.
This is why I announced my decision to pursue my education in architecture to Camden on Monday this week, which allowed us to go and finalize my registration in college on Tuesday. I hate to admit it, but it seems like being friends with Joshua Pierce has its perks. The Dean did say he wouldn't have kept me a place if my profile hadn't been good enough and he tried to reassure me saying I was a promising student. But I still think that without Joshua's help, I wouldn't have been able to register on time in this college.
And I am not mentioning the fact that I have been allowed unexpected grants and scholarships that will help paying my tuition. Whatever! I don't really mind. I honestly believe I've had my share of troubles already, and now that luck is on my side, I well intend to use it, even if I pass off as a carpetbagger. After all, what would be the point in rejecting a helping hand? Pride? Honestly, I don't give a damn about my pride!
Anyway, college doesn't start until mid-September and I should stay focus on the present, even if the present lasts until the end of the week and is only a short training. I am still doing all the tasks I have been assigned very seriously. One reason is that I really like what I'm doing. The second is a bit more opportunist but that's what it is. The truth is I love the atmosphere here and who knows, they might offer me a job once I have graduated from college in a few years?
The team is really cool and working in such a luxurious environment is more than pleasant. It could change in the next four or five years, but I am enjoying it now. Besides, having Liam around is great. Of course, we can't spend the whole day together because he has his own job, but I have gotten to work with him a little and we also spend all our lunch breaks together. There is also Ally, who is Joshua's personal assistant, and Elena, an HR coordinator. The girls are nice and we usually have fun around lunch time. Which makes me think about Liam's text...
