We rode in silence for a little until I broke the ice. "What about your family?" I asked Zack. "I have my brother (That's his brother in the picture) that lives out of the city. I'm meeting him on the highway. Shit." I heard him say.
I peeked out behind him and saw what he was looking at. It was a huge traffic jam. There were cars everywhere waiting to get out of the city. Some people were crying and other were screaming at each other.
"Zack? What are we gunna do? How will we find your brother?" I asked him. He stopped his bike behind a blue pick up and pulled out his phone. "I'll call him." He said dialing a number. It rang a little while then he picked up.
"Max. Where are you? Are you at the traffic jam?" Zack questioned his brother. I heard muffled voices on the phone but couldn't make out what it was saying. "Ok. Well find it and meet you there. Sadly I'll have to leave my bike behind." Zack said with a frown. "Okay. I'll see you in a little while. Bye." He hung up.
"Come on. We have to move." Zack said getting off the bike as I followed him. He grabbed my and we made our way trough the sea of cars. 'Omg. I'm having a freak out. I REALLY cute boy who saved my life is holding my hand. I know I just met him but I think I like him. I can't wait to tell Kaylee... Oh' For a split second I forgot she was dead. A single tear fell down my cheek.
"MAX!" Zack yelled pulling me from my thoughts. We were around a coca cola truck and a dark blue mustang. "ZACK?!" I heard a voice call out. Then a guy who looked similar to Zack walked over to us. He didn't look exactly like Zack. He only had his black hair and green eyes everything else was pretty different.
"Hey little bro." Zack said. "Stop saying that I'm only 3 minutes younger." Max complained.
"Hey who's that?" He said pointing to me. "That's Kaitlynne. She's 14. She's gunna stay with us." Zack answered his brother. "Oh. But why? Where's her family?" He asked. My breath caught in my throat and I let a few tears fall. Desperate not to let anymore out I bit my bottom lip. 'I have to be strong.' I told myself. Zack simply shook his head and Max apologized. "It's fine. You didn't know. I just wish I knew where Bri was." I said letting that last part slip.
"Bri?" Zack asked. "Oh. She's my other sister. She disappeared about a year ago. She should be 14 now. I think she ran away. Things at home were getting pretty bad when my parents started fighting." I told them. "Oh sorry." He said. "It's ok. I just hope she's still alive. And if she is. I will find her." I said with determination. 'She's the only thing I have left. I mean my dad is in another state with no way to get to him. All my aunts, Uncles, cousins, and grandparents are dead so she's all I have. That's my mission. The one thing that will keep me going in this world. I have to find my sister.'
This one was a lot shorter. But I hope you enjoyed anyways! And btw. Bri really isn't my sis in real life. She's a friend of mine. I shouted her out in one of my other stories. Her wattpad name is kenny143. Just thought I would put that out there. Most of these characters I actually know. Besides Zack and Max.
Kaylee is my real sis:) Just thought I would say that.
