~Kaitlynne's POV~

"What should we do now?" After Bri's breakdown moment about my bite, we all sat around in silence. Max was the first to speak up.

"Maybe we should double back to the store we got separated at? I mean if any of the others had the same idea maybe they all did?" Mason announced this and everyone nodded.

It was a pretty good plan, but the store was a long way away. If they were there, by the time we get there they might have already left.

"What if they were there but they're gone by the time we get there?" Bri said this, seemingly reading my mind.

"That's what I was thinking, but it's worth a shot." I said this and was about to add on but Cameron decided to step in.

"Actually... You guys are wrong. We aren't that far away, IF we take a certain route there." As he said this, we heard the rustle of leaves. I looked over my shoulder and saw the faint silhouette of a walker.

"Lead the way."

"Where are we?" Bri's tired voice sounded around me.

The path Cameron was leading us through was well.... creepy. The sun had set a little while ago and we were walking blindly. The sound of frogs and crickets didn't help with the creepy part. I couldn't even see my feet anymore beacause of the fog that was rising from the ground.

"Chill out Love, we're almost to a stopping point." He spoke this quite annoyed, since the same question had been asked several times. I sighed and looked down, squinting my eyes in hope of actually seeing where I was walking. Just as I was thinking someone was gunna trip, I heard a shriek and a soft THUD.

I turned around to see Max sitting on the ground with Bri bent down at his side. "We need the find a stopping point pretty soon before someone gets hurt." Mason annouced, pretty much reading my mind.

"He's right. Someone's gunna get hurt at this rate and then we're screwed." Bri persisted with it also.

"Bloody Hell, don't worry so much, it's not much farther now."

We walked a little more before Max came into step beside me. "How you holding up?" He asked this and glanced at my arm. I looked down too and rolled my eyes. If I was gunna die I would have done it by now. I wouldn't be upset if I did anyways.

"Gunna take more than a bite to kill me." As I say this, I suddenly find it hard to stand and I fall to my knees. Max tries to catch me but I fall anyway.

Everyone turns around to check on me. I shake my head, trying to shake off the sudden dizzyness I feel. "You alright?" Max asked this and cautiously backs away. I keep shaking my head, I don't know why but I do.

Then, I hear a voice, sounding in my head like a speaker. I cry out in pain from the sudden loudness and hold my hands over my ears in a feeble attempt to block it out.

'My children...' The voice sounds in my head. 'Remember to complete your mission... If you fail... There are consequenses... All humans must be killed. If only one is left... you have failed. Do not fail your mission my children...' It stops...

As everything turns to black...

~Max's POV~

I sat in the room... thinking about the previous events....

~Flashback~

Kaitlynne suddenly collapsed to the ground. I tried to call out the her but she ignored. She just shakes her head.
