~Wyatt's POV~

We sat in silence. Pure silence. You could hear nothing but the steady breathing from the both of us.

I still feel sick but it's getting better. I don't know how long we've been here. I've lost track of time. Neither of us no why we are staying here. I guess after we were separated we just shut down. We searched for a little while but we were ran off by walkers.

Now we have no way to know where the rest of the group could possibly be.

So we just stayed hunkered down in the little barn in the middle of nowhere. Waiting. Waiting for peace, for hope, for something that would never come.

Just waiting for a chance to start over.

To live in a world where none of this ever happened. If only... then Sam would still be alive, and Tyler, mom, dad, they would all be here... Well I guess Tyler wouldn't. I met him after the world went to shit. But... if none of this ever happened I wouldn't have met some of the most important people in my life. I just wish they were all here.

I closed my eyes and leaned by head back. I opened my eyes and stared at the ceiling.

We can't just sit here and do nothing anymore! Kaitlynne is out there and I'm just sitting on my ass doing nothing! This ends now!

A determined look spread across my face. I grabbed my knife and my gun and holster. I stood up and strapped the holster to my waist. Placing my gun In its correct place I put the cover on my knife and slipped it in my pocket.

"What are you doing?" Daryl asked me as I walked over to the door. I looked back at him and gave him a hard glare.

"I'm sick of sitting on my ass and doing nothing. I'm going to look for the others. You can join me. If you don't it won't hurt my feelings any but think about the others. Carson to be exact. She could be somewhere dying and you wouldn't even know it. You know why? Cause your sitting on your lazy bum doing absolute crap about it." I made my speech and Daryl seemed to think hard for a moment before standing up and walking over to me.

"Time to get off my ass and do something about it."

~Max's POV~

I could have swore I heard Bri calling for me before we made it to the house and I had my breakdown.

I had to convince myself it wasn't her and I think that's what caused me to crack.

I wanted it so bad to be her. I still had a little glimmer of hope tho. A little while ago the walkers gave up and left so it's time to get moving.

"Come on Max." Mason called for me. I turned around to see him already at the door way. I nodded and followed him out the door. Being quiet, just in cause of any looming walkers, we snuck away. We had gotten quite a bit away, back tracking, when something came to mind.

During all that was going on I forgot about Mason saying he got scratched! Dammit!

"Mason!" I shouted out quietly. He turned around and gave be a confused look. "Are you scratched?" I asked. I knew he said he was but I was in denial.

"I actually don't know for sure. All I know is I felt a sharp pain on my scalp." He explained. " I don't feel sick or anything so that's good."

I walked closer to him and since he was slightly taller than me I pulled his head down so I could see. I looked and saw no scratch marks, just a small clump of missing hair. I let out a sigh of relief.

I let go of him and looked him in the eye. "Well?" He asked impatiently. I shook my head.

"No scratches. Just some hair was pulled out ,thank god." I said letting out another sigh. He also let out a breath as I said that.

"Good, lets keep going." He told me as he went to move again. Suddenly I heard crying. I looked around the wooded area we were in but saw nothing. I kept hearing the cries but I couldn't see anything.

"This way." Mason said, walking off in the direction of the noise. We kept walking for a bit, the crying getting louder and more clear.

Soon we saw a girl. She had her face buried in her hands as she cried. But this girl seemed familiar.

"Bri?"

~Kaitlynne's POV~

I got out of there. I don't know how, but I did. But now... I'm alone. I'm starting to believe that maybe it would have been better of I died back there...

I sat in the middle of the road. Just sitting there, waiting. I don't know what for but I'm just... waiting... for me to wake? For all of this to be a dream?

Tears filled my eyes.

"Wake up..." I muttered and hit my forehead. "Wake up." Another hit. "Wake up!" I screamed, but this time I broke down. The dam over flooded and I began to weep.

"Why me..." I muttered to no one. I looked down at myself. I was covered in dirt and walker guts. I don't even know when the last time I've got to clean off was. As I looked at myself I saw blood.

Not walker blood. Fresh, human blood.

"No no no no no no no no no!" I said a little loudly as I rubbed back all the dirt and grim, to reveal a bite. "NO!!!" I screamed so loud that probably the whole undead population of the world heard it.

I began to cry harder and harder, trying to believe it isn't real. Then...

A sharp pain in my head and I was knocked into darkness.
