~No One's POV~

The girl lay in the middle of the road. Her eyes were closed and her body unmoving, as if she was dead. But you could still see the steady rise and fall of her chest.

She's unaware of her surroundings, her mind blank, as if she's not there.

It's too early after the bite for her to be sick...

So why?

Without warning her eyes flutter open. But there's something different.

Her eyes are dead, lifeless windows to the soul. Just an empty husk of the girl that used to be there.

Sitting up slowly, she looked around her. Then, "He's coming..."

She spoke in a low, whisper almost demonic voice. Her eyes rolled to the back of her head and returned normal.

She then blacked out once again.

Having no idea of the previous events..

~Carson's POV~

Sam was bit. She tried to leave but I wouldn't let her. I told her when the time came I would put her down. She made me promise not to let Tyler see.

She sat in the lonely corner, she looked pale but I think she just fell asleep awhile ago. I'm pretty sure I can see her breathing. Tyler is snuggled up in my side asleep.

I watched Sam, making sure she didn't turn. She stirred a little in her sleep, but what she did next is what startled me.

She started to have a seizure.

I moved Tyler, careful not to wake him and ran over to Sam. I watched as her body moved uncontrollably.

After a minute she stopped. I laid my head on her chest to listen for a heartbeat. Then, I heard her speak.

"Master is getting impatient." She said in a low whisper. In shock I slowly lifted my head to look at her.

Her eyes were grey and lifeless. Those eyes...

She looked straight at me.

"All human shall perish."

~Bri's POV~

"Bri?" I heard someone call my name. At first I thought it was my imagination but then I looked up. And there he stood.

"Max?" I uttered in disbelief. "Max!" I came to my senses and hopped up from my spot and ran over to Max. Soon, I was in his arms.

"I can't believe your actually here..." I muttered this in disbelief. Just moments ago I was alone. Sobbing on the forest floor drowning in my own sorrow.

"Well believe it. Cause I'm not going anywhere." He pulled away from me and smiled brightly. I smiled back just as bright.

I heard someone clear their throat and I peeked around Max's shoulder and saw Mason standing there. "Forget about me so soon darling? I'm offended."

"Mason!!!" I pulled away from Max and ran over to Mason. I gave him a quick hug, which he gladly returned. I looked at him and smiled before turning back to Max. "Is anyone else with you?"

As I asked this question, the happy mood changed severely. Mason answered my question with something I already knew.

"Ryan was with us... But he's... He's uh... gone..." Mason said this with pain in his voice.

A tear spilled from my eye as I looked over to Mason. His expression was clouded and he hung his head. I stepped closer to him and put my hand on his cheek.

He looked up at me with glossy eyes. He was on the verge of tears. I felt another tear slip through. "I know... I'm so sorry Mason..."

"Stop your crying..." He wiped away my tears. "He wouldn't want ya blubbering over him now would he?" He gave me a weak smile. I nodded and returned the smile with one of my own.

"We should probably get going." I heard Max say this and I turned to face him. He shot me a smile and yet again I returned a smile. Mason and I both nodded and then we were on our way to nowhere.

"Do you think we'll find 'em?" I asked this as we were walking. Max glanced over at me. He quickly turned away before answering.

"Yeah, I do. I mean if Kaitlynne and the others-" I had completely forgotten about Kaitlynne! I got so caught up in the moment that I forgot. I gasped, so Max stopped mid-sentence.

"What? What's wrong?" He slightly panicked at my outburst.

I looked at him with teary eyes.

"Kaitlynne... She was with me... and-and... I- I..." I broke down right on the spot.

"Bri..." Max muttered my name sadly and wrapped me in his arms. I sobbed quietly into his chest, soaking his shirt with my tears.

"Come on Love, don't cry." An unfamiliar voice rang out. My head shot up from his chest. Standing there was a man I had never seen before. Mason kept him at gunpoint.

He continued speaking in his British accent. "I think I've got just what your looking for right here." He stepped out of the way and Kaitlynne stood there with her arms crossed.

"You think I'd die that easily?"

"Kaitlynne!!!" I scrambled out of Max's arms and got to my feet as quick as possible. I gained my footing and ran to her. She held out her arms and I ran into them.

She hugged me back tightly. "I thought you died!!!" I choked on my own sobs as we pulled apart. "I'm so sorry! This is all my fault! If I hadn't of-"

"Stop right there." She interrupted me. "Don't you dare start that bullshit. That's not true and you know it. I chose to stay behind so you could get away. That was in no way your fault." She snapped at me harshly. I nodded and pulled her in for one more hug before turning to the new guy.

"Who's he?"

"That's Cameron." Kaitlynne answered for him. He found me after I blacked out. This took me by surprise.

"You passed out?! Why?!"

"Shit. I wasn't supposed to say that yet..." Kaitlynne scolded herself and I just looked at her In disbelief.

"I uh... I was... ummmm..." Kaitlynne couldn't spit it out so she turned to Cameron to answer for her.

"She was bitten."

"What..." My mind went blank.

No... Not her... Please no!!! Not her!!! I don't want to loose anyone else!!! Especially not her!!! Please!!!

"No... No... No no no no no no no no no NOOOOOOO!!!!" I screamed out at the top of my lungs. I didn't care who or what heard it.

All the strength in my body drained out and I collapsed to my knees.

"Please..."

Sorry that was pretty short and crappy! I'll try to make the next chapter longer and better! Thanks for reading!
