I explained to everyone what had just happened and they all just stood there in shock. "Hello? Anybody home? You gunna introduce yourselves or not?" The man said as he waved his hand in front of their faces.

"Oh, I'm Bri." Bri introduced.

"I'm Max."

"I'm Daryl."

"I'm Carson, Daryl's girlfriend."

"I'm Ryan."

"I'm Mason."

"And I'm Kaitlynne." I said after everyone else introduced themselves.

"Yeah, I'm Wyatt, it was nice to meet you and all but we got company!" 'Wyatt' yelled, pointing behind us. We all turned around to see walkers running to us.

"How the hell are they running?!" I screamed as we all turned around and started running.

"You didn't get the memo?" Wyatt joked. I gave him an evil glare. "I get it not the time." He tried to give an innocent smile but it came out a mischievous smirk.

"Just shut up and run faster!" Bri yelled at us. "They're catching up!" At her voice we all ran faster. Running past Grant Street and turning on to Prep Rd, I tripped.

"Dammit!!!" I yelled holding my now bleeding elbow. Max turned around to try and help me but I yelled at him. "Keep going! I'll meet back up with you! Just make it to Undergrove and wait there! If I'm not there by tomorrow go without me!" I yelled at them. Bri was about to object. "No time to argue! Just go!" They all turned around and continued running.

I breathed a sigh of relief and stood up. I turned around to face the matter at hand. 'Ok so here's how it going down. I'm gunna run like crazy and make as many turns as I can until I lose em' all. Sounds easy enough.' I thought. 'Not!'

"Hey dipwads!" I yelled. They all focused on me. "Yeah you! Come get some!!!" I yelled turning and running to my right.

They chased me through every turn I made without losing a single one. "When... did... they... get so... smart?!" I huffed, out of breath. 'Ok new plan. I have about 18 bullets and there are about 35 following me. If I shoot some of them and strategically take out the rest I may stand a chance.'

I pulled out my gun and turned around. I pulled the trigger.

One

I aimed the gun at the next one's head.

Two

I shot another one and it went straight through and into the next ones head.

Three, four

I pulled the trigger.

Missed

I pulled it again.

Nineteen

I pulled the trigger one more time as another fell to the ground. 'Ok sixteen left... Crap.'

I put my gun back in its holster before turning around and running some more. The walkers, no we can't call them that anymore, the runners were now a lot closer. I turned around and saw one right behind me. Before it could tackle me I flipped open my knife and stabbed it.

Twenty

I ran into a nearby alley and started up the ladder on the side of the building. One of the runners caught up and grabbed my leg. I picked up a piece of glass off from the edge, slightly cutting my hand. I threw it down and it landed in the Runner's eye. It let go of me and fell limp.

Twenty one

I continued climbing until I made it to the broken window. I climbed through and landed on my feet. I ran over to the other side of the room to see that that corner of the building had been blown off. "Woah..." I breathed looking down. I was up really high. I looked over and saw that the next building was shorter than this one.

"Here goes nothing." I muttered.

I took several steps back before running up to the ledge. I couldn't do it. "Oh come on! Don't be such a pussy!" I yelled at myself.

I stepped back again and took a running start. I made it to the ledge but this time I jumped. I screamed the whole time I was in the air. Soon I was hanging off the edge of the next building. "Oh my god! Oh my god! Oh my god!!!" I yelled repeatedly as I pulled myself up. 'How the hell was I able to jump?' I thought to myself as I stood up. "So that happened." I muttered as I looked out over the edge. I saw another ladder leading down.

But this one came with a catch.

It was broken.

The top part where I needed to grab onto to get on the ladder was on the ground below. I sighed. I swung my legs over the edge only leaving my arms to keep me up. "Why can't it go my way just once?" I said to myself. "Yolo...." I said lowly as I let go of the ledge. I screamed as I grabbed onto the ladder, jarring my arm. "Why do I have to be such a fat ass?" I groaned as I used my other hand to grab the ladder.

I slowly climbed down the ladder, trying to ignore the pain in my arm.

I reached the bottom and headed to Undergrove.

____________

Once I got there I saw Bri crying while Max tried to comfort her. I noticed Carson trying to hold back tears as Daryl rubbed her shoulder in comfort. The new guy just sat there, sharpening a stick. "Ya miss me?" I said once I was close enough. Everyone's head snapped in my direction but Wyatt just waved a hand up in the air not taking his eyes off the stick in his hands.

"Kaitlynne!" Carson and Bri yelled in unison, running to me. They gave me a hug but I instantly pulled away. A look of hurt flashed in their eyes.

"I'm fine." I said before walking past everyone else and sitting on a nearby piece of rubble. Suddenly, Wyatt stood up after a while of staring at me. He walked over to me and stopped in front of me. "What do you-" I was cut off. He grabbed my arm and roughly pulled it upwards with a loud pop. "Ow!!!! What the hell?!" I yelled at him.

"Your arm was dislocated, now it's not." He said cooly. I glared daggers at him. If looks could kill he would be burning in a pit of fire. "Your welcome." He added.

"You're a real A+ Asshole ya know that?" I yelled at him as he walked off.

He raised a dismissive hand in the air and kept walking. I groaned in frustration.

'If he hadn't saved my life he would be in the ground right now...'

"Asshole..."
