Hey guys. I'm so sorry for the long wait! Don't worry the chapters may be far apart from each other but I promise I won't stop writing until the book is finished. I have a lot going on and it's been really discouraging for me to write. Once this passes, hopefully I'll be able to write more for my lovely readers! I love y'all so much and thank you for taking this amazing journey through Wattpad with me!

Peace out peeps✌🏼

I ran over to the scene that Wyatt had made with his scream. He was hunched over and clutching his side. I ran to him and gently touched his back. He looked up at me breathing heavily.

"What happened down there?" Daryl asked. Wyatt stood up straight and held his arm to his side as his face showed his pain. I frowned at this. They should have sent someone else down.

Still breathing heavy, Wyatt began to speak. "When the lights came on. Walkers were everywhere. But they were... I don't know how else to say this but, the walkers, they were.... Melted." Shock showed on everyone's faces. Cameron was the first to speak up.

"What do you mean, 'melted'?" He questioned.

"I mean," Wyatt began to explain, "the walkers were like stuck to the ground... almost like some kind of chemical had turned their flesh to liquid. And they couldn't move to come after me..." Sam lifted her nose up in disgust and shook her head. 'Must have a weak stomach' I thought.

"So what do we do about this?" Daryl said and looked to Mason. "I mean getting rid of the walkers is the easy part, but we don't know what could have caused them to 'melt'." What Daryl said made sense. We don't know what did that or if it would have the same effect on us.

"We will send people down there to scope it out, but for now let's just see what these units have in them. We may find something useful in clearing out the breaker room." Mason said. We all nodded in agreement and went our separate ways.

Wyatt and I walked side by side. Once we were out of sight I turned to him and hugged him tightly, careful not to hurt him. I laid my ear against his chest and listened to his heartbeat. "When I heard you scream... I felt like I couldn't breathe..." I could feel him chuckle. I looked up at him with my hands still wrapped around his body.

He wrapped one hand around my waist and used the other to gently touch my cheek. "You worry too much." He smiles and leans down. He waits to kiss me to give me time to pull away.

I lean up and collide our lips together in a short sweet kiss. We pulled away and smiled at each other.

"Come on. Let's go search these units." Wyatt said as he grabbed my hand. I nodded and we walked together to find a unit to search.

Unit 27.

We stopped walking once we got to an unsearched unit. I opened up the door to reveal what's inside.

Fishing and hunting gear lined the walls. Two double barrel shotguns hung up on hooks, One high powered rifle under those, Three fishing rods in a row leaning against the wall, several hunting knives layed in a display case, as well as a machete, and much more.

"Jackpot." I heard Wyatt mutter beside me. I looked over to see him staring into the unit like a child in a candy store. I smiled slightly.

"How about you look through this one and I'll move on to the next?" I asked him. He smiled widely and nodded.

I moved to the next unit over and lifted up the door. Random clothes items filled the tiny space.

Some clothes were in boxes, others were hung on the walls or on clothing racks. There was anything from dresses to thick winter coats in the assortment. You name it, it was in there. From men's to women's clothes they had it all.
