Devyn
"So what's old McDonald like in a relationship?" I nearly trip over my own two feet when Michael snaps me out of my scattered thoughts. I blink rapidly, trying to find balance again while walking between him and Kobe. Michael hasn't seen me in a while so he decided to ring me to see if we could chill today. Michael decided to randomly drag Kobe along because he hasn't seen me in ages either, but I didn't mind not knowing, I like Kobe a lot and I don't mind his presence at all. The creases around my forehead and the lines on my face formulate after I replay the question in my head "What?"
"What.. is ..he.. like?" He pauses after each word as if they were syllables like I'm stupid. A small smile appears on my face before I frown again, wondering where this notion came from. "No, I understand what you're saying. I just want to know why you want to know.." I trail off.
"You tryna give ol' dude head, Michael?" Kobe inquires, reaching across my short statue to place his hand on Michael's shoulder with laughter deriving from my diaphragm. Aggressively, Michael shrugs him off, using all of his force to push him away. "Kobe, please shut the fuck up...and you're encouraging this shit, Devyn. This is why I don't like you now."
"But you always ringing me, so there must be something you like about me deep down inside your heart." My head tilts to the side as I gaze up into his face. He glides his tongue across his lips, failing to restrain a smile, eventually turning away.
"Ah, she got you bitch." Kobe jokes with his hand balled up covering his mouth, dramatically. "Nigga shut up, you look like a chipmunk with a short ass Rick James wig." Michael's facial expressions makes a three-sixty turn once he replies, pulling one of Kobe's braids and Kobe smacks his hand away. "Wow, you real funny." Kobe throws a theatrical glower at Michael, while flicking him off. I couldn't help but to laugh at them.
"I don't think Donald would appreciate you calling his girl all hours of the night." Kobe teases.
I nod my head at Michael, getting ready for a reasonable explanation for his late night callings, "Man fuck him." I quickly shake my head once I actually recall what he just said. I immediately frown my face up at his words, getting defensive. "Ain't no eff him, that's my guy."
"Yeah cause ain't nobody fucking him but her." Kobe says. I cringe at the way it came out his mouth, sounding so corny. "Kobe, you say the dumbest shit... Like some dumb ass shit my nigga.. Go play in traffic or something. Please. You just gotta go."
"Hey, that's not nice Michael." My mom used to always tell me to play in traffic, but I don't think she meant it as a joke. She was probably really serious and that slightly assmebled a bruising on my heart. "You know what I'm upset about? I'm upset that Donald, out of people got your ass. Like I'm pretty sure everybody was probably plotting to take your virginity, me not being one of them." He makes the last part very clear to me resulting in my eyebrows arching. "I swear, I wasn't. I just wanted to mess with you. But like, this nigga doesn't even talk for real. He's mute. He's like a third of what Hellen Keller was and he debauched you!" My head jolts back at his usage of the lengthy and harsh word to describe taking away one's virginity. "I mean I don't want you or anything, I'm just saying. His ass probably didn't even know what he was doing."
He sounds extremely bothered by the fact that we're together and I now understand why D told me to stay away from them, but they're my friends. They probably don't mean any harm. Him saying Donald probably didn't know what he was doing is pretty comical that I can't surpress the giggles my thoughts triggered. Donald knew more than what I thought he knew, maybe more than he should know and that worries me deep down. The things he suggests for us to do are questionable and it appears his sex drive is at a high I don't think I can keep up with. It's still not too clear to me on how many girls he has been with when he and the suspect are saying two different things, leading me to insanity. But I guess I won't overthink it much since that situation is over with. Although him being hesitant on answering the questions I proposed only hinders the trust I once I had for him.
