"Nigga, what do you want?" I push Cedric's hand away from mine as he tries to grab onto the Atari control JoJo let me borrow. I've become accustomed to this thing since I began living with them. We never really had this at our house, not because our parents didn't want us to but simply because we were never quite interested in it. But being the bored and curious man I am, I decided to give it a try and I haven't gave it back to JoJo.
"I want my Atari game back! You've had it for like almost two months now and I want it back." He attempts to snatch it from my hold again resulting in my body rising up from the couch continuing to focus on the game Breakout they had up there. It's my favorite game so far and I haven't stopped playing it. I want to beat my own high score but it's impossible if this annoying meerkat keeps bothering me.
"JoJo said I can give it back whenever I'm done and I just so happen not to be done yet so go away. I'm trying to focus and you messing me up. You're fucking annoying." I nearly growl at him.
"Nigga, what are you beating? You're barely hitting the freaking blocks. You keep missing every single time, you uncoordinated, illiterate ostrich." From the corner of my eyes, I can see him hold his hands out dramatically in anger.
"That's because you keep bothering me. I'd be winning if you—" Throwing the controller on the couch with force, my feet compress onto the ground repetitively. "You just made me fucking lose! Look what you did!" I point towards the screen feeling the warm air of the heater rising through my flaring nostrils. "Are you happy now? Just take the damn game. I don't even care anymore. I'm over this shit." Folding my arms across my chest, I crawl over to the other couch of the basement leaving him standing by himself. Gradually, he turns his neck around staring me into my face and I buck my eyes at him then towards the controller. "Go ahead and take it. What are you waiting for."
"I didn't actually want the game. I just wanted to mess with you." He shrugs carelessly. "But if you insist." Rubbing his hands together, he smoothly places the Atari in his hands clicking out of my game.
"Nigga fuck you." Rolling my eyes aggressively, I grab the two thin booklets I had on the small coffee table. Flipping to a random page, I squint my eyes at the tiny text of this feminine magazine. Hearing the music to the game decrease in volume, my eyes stamp onto him. His eyebrow arches staring down at the magazine I'm reading. "Is that playboy?"
Denying the allegations I shake my head skimming across the pages. "No."
"Yes it is." A smirk appears on his face. He smiles sheepishly rising up from the couch.
"It's really not." Frowning my face, I eye him up and down subtly. "And don't think about hopping your Kermit the frog looking ass over here. You and your saliva covered glandular can stay in its habitat."
"Too fucking late." Wincing, the weight of his slim body crushes onto my very own. He actually hopped on me like a frog. His bones attacking and stabbing into my sides as he slides his way to fit on the small cushions of the couch next to me. He snatches the magazine from my grasp, pushing it upwards so he can read carefully. I use my large hands attempting to push him off the couch but he catches onto my wrist, pulling himself before he could actually drop. "Try again weakling. I'm here to stay." He scoots closer to me. As he reads, his eyebrows knit together.
"Is this cosmo? Why are you reading a cosmo for?" He slams the thin paper down onto his lap with a scolding glare. "I told you I wasn't reading a playboy this time." I shrug and he reaches for the other magazine I had flipping through the pages. He tosses the book onto the ground with a confused look upon his face. "You buying a wedding ring? Are you and Jade getting married?"
