"What's cooking good looking?" I greet Mel in the kitchen, using that cheesy pick up line that I've heard about a million times. Mel looks at me and rolls her eyes, getting back to attempting to flip a pancake.

"I'm trying to cook pancakes. What time does school start again?" Mel asks finishing up at the stove with the pancakes. She slides all the pancakes onto a large plate and places it on the table. My own best friend, cooking me food in my house on a Thursday morning when we should be getting ready for school.

"School start's at eight. Its seven o'clock now." I say looking up at the clock. "I should wake up Millie." I say and Mel nods, before she begins to drizzle the pancakes with maple syrup and ice-cream. I leave the kitchen and I walk up the stairs to Millie's room.

"What do you want?" Millie says groaning and rubbing her eyes. Her voice is croaky from sleep and her face is almost completely covered by her blanket.

"You need to get up. Mel cooked pancakes. You have an early start. Same as Mel and I." I say and Millie grunts before digging her face deeper into her pillow.

"Do you think mum will ever come back?" Millie murmurs through her pillow. I stare at the blank wall for second. I know our mother will never come back. She left six years ago, of course she isn't going to come back. I've just grown to the fact that I will never see my mother again. She may even be dead. Neither of us have heard a word from our mother since she left. I've just given up, no point wasting worrying about someone who left me. My mother left my father without a word, saying she wanted a divorce. He gave her the divorce, and she never bothered to say goodbye to my sister and I or even gain visitation rights. It's just Millie, my father and myself.

"Come on, let's go have some breakfast." I say to Millie grabbing her blanket and pulling it off her. Millie doesn't react as she just lies there ignoring me.

"I will be down in a minute." Millie whines and I walk out, giving up on her. I stop beside her door and I listen to her giggle and I hear the blankets ruffle. I can hear a boy talking and Millie giggling. I knew it. Sneaky bastard must have hidden under her bed.

"Millie has a boy in her room. Again." I announce, and Mel almost chokes on the food in her mouth.

" She gets more than you." Mel says beginning to laugh. "Well, I've got to say she is hotter than you." Mel jokes and ignore the comment and begin to eat my pancakes. Millie, my sister who is only sixteen but still a year younger than me, has more luck with boys than I ever will. We finish up soon enough and Millie comes downstairs. Mel shoots me a funny look and I ignore Millie completely.

"What? Why are you staring at me like that?" Millie sneers to Mel.

"Oh, nothing. What did you do last night?" Mel asks trying not to sound suspicious. Millie just shrugs her shoulders and replies with a simple 'Nothing.'

I slam my locker and I lock it shut. my eyes sting from getting hardly any sleep last night and Mel looks like she is about to pass out. I huddle my books into my chest and I drag Mel along with me to our next boring class. Two more hours to go, then we're out.

We make it to our class. Mel and I take the two seats at the back of the classroom like we always do. I chuck my books onto my desk and I sit down on the hard-plastic chair. I grab my phone out and I decide to scroll through Facebook to kill my boredom for a few minutes. Mel is leaning her head on my shoulder with her eyes closed. A group of human giraffes sit in front of us, so it completely blocks our view from the teacher.

"Morgan. That's the gang." Mel whispers to me in my ear and I look around to see the gang, walking past the door. I pray that they don't all come into this classroom and luckily, they don't.

My phone begins to buzz as soon as the class begins, Millie simply blowing up my phone with messages. "Call me, need to talk." One message reads, so I decide to make my way to the bathrooms after asking the teacher for permission. I begin read all of Millie's text messages urging me to call her, not looking at the sign of the bathroom that I just walked into. I walk until I reach what seems to be a stall, that is completely different to the girls' bathrooms. I look up from my phone and I see one of the gang members looking down at me, with a smirk on his face. I feel myself beginning to blush instantly. Well, this is embarrassing.

"This is the guy's toilets. Are you new?" The gang member asks as he rinses his hands at the sink, and dries his hands off on his jeans. I instantly feel a blush creep to my face. He has never seen me around? I'm that invisible? He steps towards me and I practically feel like screaming, but I just stand frozen on the spot.

"I... I'm sorry I was on my phone and I didn't see the sign." I stammer, taking a few steps away from him and standing at the door, gripping onto the handle.

"Yeah, Well. At least you didn't catch anyone pissing or doing anything else." The boy says. "The guys in here do some fucking crazy stuff." He curses, and he opens the door for me. At least he has some gentlemen features besides the swearing.

"See you around." He says as I rush out of there and practically run back to my class.
