A whole week has gone by and Jayden hasn't shown up to Biology once. I began the project by myself and almost finished it last night. School has been weirdly enough quiet for me, as I sit in the library at recess and lunch, not even seeing Mel either. I love being away from everyone, less confrontation and I can focus on my schoolwork, as it is my last year. I feel like texting Jayden and asking if he alive, but the last time I saw him I told basically told him to his face, that I wasn't interested. And I walked off on him. A little too harsh I must admit. But I've been thinking about him non-stop, and what I did is starting to make me feel guilty. I open my phone and stare at Jayden's name, unsure if I should risk it all and just call him. Before I realize, I have the phone against my right ear and I anxiously anticipate for him to answer.

"Hello?" Jayden croaks from the other side of the line.

"Jayden?"

"Yeah. What's up?" Jayden murmurs, sounding so disinterested in what I have to talk about.

"You okay?" I ask.

"I'm fine, I just woke up." Jayden replies, which explains his husky voice.

"Okay. Well, I need your work for the project. I've almost finished it." I demand, and I hear him sigh.

"Just come past mine after school." Jayden bluntly says.

"Alright, see you after school." I say and hang up.

I sit nervously at my desk, my leg uncontrollably shaking. Jayden and I are at such an awkward stage, we aren't even classified fully as friends yet I'm going to be visiting him at his house soon. Soon as the bell goes, I speed walk to my locker, grabbing the project notes and getting out of the building as soon as possible. Teenagers swarm around me, not even noticing me as I try to push past them. As invisible as ever, like always. I make my way to my car, chucking my bag and the notes into the passenger side and driving out of the car park. It's Friday, and I couldn't be more stoked to be spending two days after school.

I remember the directions Jayden gave me not long ago and I make my way down the slim side streets. The streets look a little safer during the day and I see young children walking around with their parents. Maybe this area isn't so bad after all

Soon enough, I'm parked at the front of Jayden's house. I grab my backpack and the notes from the passenger side and lock the car behind me. Slowly making my way up to the front door, I mentally prepare myself for how awkward our encounter is about to be. I ring the doorbell and wait a moment before the door opens, to Jayden.

"Hey, Morgan." Jayden greets, revealing himself from behind the door. He's dressed in a plain white t-shirt and grey tracksuit pants. I've never seen him dressed like this, all I've ever seen him in is black jeans and a black hoodie.

"Hey, how are you?" I ask following him inside. He closes the door behind me and slightly smiles at me.

"I'm okay, and you?" He asks.

"Yeah, I'm good," I reply, and we stare at each other for a few seconds before I break the silence. "Um. I've got the notes here. Want to see?"

"Yeah, come into my room and I'll take a look," Jayden says casually and leads me to his bedroom. The house is quiet, so I automatically assume no one is home. "No one's home. Mum's working and my little brother isn't here." Jayden says. His bedroom is ordinary, a double bed in the corner and a desk with a laptop. I take a seat on his desk chair and he grabs the notes and lies on his bed. He begins flicking through the notes, reading everything I've worked on so far.

"Wow, it's good. I feel bad that you almost did everything." Jayden says, putting the notes down on his lip.

"It's fine. It wasn't even hard." I say shrugging it off. I turn around and look at a small photo frame perched on his desk. A photo of him as a little kid and someone who appears to be his father. I instantly notice the resemblance in facial features. The eyes and strong jawline that he now resembles from his father.

"That's my dad." Jayden quietly says. "He passed away a few years ago."

"Oh, Jay. I'm so sorry." I reply, watching him as he stares at the ceiling. Looking at him right now, it dawns on me about how much I repress all my thoughts of him. He's beautiful. Not just hot and sexy, but genuinely beautiful. But I know I'm not the only girl who's known this, he's been with many girls. I have no chance.

I find myself on my feet within seconds, walking over to him on the bed, and I sit next to him.

"Jayden. I need to talk to you, about something." I nervously say, and he looks up at me.

"Okay, what is it?" He asks.

"I, well. I didn't mean what I said last week outside the restaurant." I say, stopping myself to swallow. "I can't stop thinking about you."

Jayden stares into my eyes, and I notice he nervously swallows as well. His eyes dart down to my lips and then move back up to connect with my eyes.

"I haven't realized until now, how much I feel about you. And I know it's fucking crazy that we've only known each other for a few weeks and-" I say but I'm cut off instantly by Jayden jumping up and pressing his lips to mine. His lips connect with mine and I feel an instant spark, my mouth slowly parting with his. He slowly grabs my waist and pulls me on top of him, our lips not breaking apart once. I wrap my arms around his neck and pull him in closer, pressing my hips up against him. I've never felt this kind of spark, this deep-rooted connection as soon as we touch. His lips feel so soft against mine and before I realize it I'm straddling him in my bra.

I begin to rock my hips back and forth against him, but we're interrupted by the sound of the front door opening.

"Jay!" I hear a little boy shout and I instantly break the kiss and jump off him, grabbing my t-shirt and quickly putting it on. Just as I put my t-shirt on, the little boy is standing at the doorway. He notices me and looks back and forth between Jayden and me, a curious, yet innocent look cast over his face.

"Morgan, this is my brother. Sam. Sam this is Morgan, my friend." Jayden introduces us and Sam smiles and waves at me.

"Hi, Morgan. Nice to meet you." Sam greets.

"Nice to meet you too Sam." I smile back, admiring that the little boy is adorable. He looks no older than eleven years of age.

"Jay, I need you to help me with my homework later," Sam informs his older brother, still standing at the doorway.

"Okay, I'll help you later," Jayden says, and Sam lingers at the door for a moment before walking away.

"Fuck. That was close." Jayden whispers, "He may only be eleven, but he has an idea of what we were doing I'll tell you that right now."

My eyes focused on his lips, I feel the sudden urge to jump back on him and finish what we started. But I hold myself back.

"I think I should go," I whisper, getting up from the bed.

"Uh, okay. Here, one sec." Jayden says and gets up from his bed and grabs a small bundle of papers from his desk. "My notes, for the project," Jayden says, handing me a bunch of papers.

We stand, staring at each other.

"Tomorrow. See me." Jayden informs.

"Okay. I will." I agree, shoving all of the notes for the project into my backpack.

"I'll pick you up, during the day," Jayden says, and he grabs my hand. He leads me out to the front door and I say goodbye to Sam before I make my way outside to my car.

Jayden leans on my car. "I knew you wouldn't leave here without having a hot make-out session with me," Jayden smirks, his eyes gliding up and down my body.

"You're the one who invited me over. So obviously you wanted it." I joke.

"No, you came onto me." Jayden jokes back, flashing his cheeky grin.

"Yeah, okay I admit it. I totally came onto you." I jokingly admit, putting my hands up to show as if I surrender. Jayden takes a step closer towards me, grabbing my hands and pulling my body towards him.

"I'll see you tomorrow, Morgan."
