"The boys and I are going away for the weekend. Bring your sister, we're staying at some beach house." Jayden says to me over the phone.
"Alright, I'll ask her. My dad is gone all weekend, guess for work or something. We should be able to come." I reply to Jayden. I call out to Millie and she comes barging into my room within seconds.
"We're going away today, with Jay and his friends," I inform Millie and she squeals from excitement.
"Can I bring Mark?!" She asks, jumping up and down.
"Yes, she can," Jayden says through the phone, and I nod at Millie, she squeals again and runs back into her bedroom where her boyfriend is.
"I'll come and pick you up soon, I just gotta pack my back with a few clothes," I tell Jayden.
"Alright, well you can save yourself from picking me up because I'm at your front door," Jayden says, and I hear the doorbell ring. I make my way downstairs and open the door to Jayden, his usual black attire and a large duffle bag strung over his shoulder.
"Are you ready for the best weekend of your whole entire fucking life?"
After a two-hour drive, we finally make it to the destination, and I don't know how considering I had Jayden in the passenger seat, along with Millie and Mark in the backseat. Jayden controlled the Bluetooth, which meant two hours of non-stop rap music, that all three of them enjoyed so much Millie even had her head hanging out of the window screaming "OOOO I FALL APART!".
"Next time we go on a road trip, you can drive," I say to Jayden as he grabs our bags out from the car boot.
"I'll drive on the way back and you can stick your head out of the window and scream all of Post Malone's songs." Jayden jokes, somehow managing to carry all of our bags into the house.
The house we're staying at is huge. As soon as you walk in, you're greeted to a long hallway that leads to the kitchen and the living room, and a staircase that leads to all the bedrooms upstairs.
"Where are Millie and I gonna sleep?" I ask Jayden.
"Millie and Mark can have their own room. Zach and Sammy will share, Ryder and Colin will share." Jayden says, "So I guess you're stuck in a room with me unless you wanna sleep downstairs on the couch?"
"I'll take the bed and you can take the couch." I joke but I realize Jayden thinks I'm serious.
"If you want to," Jayden says.
"No, it's okay. Show me around upstairs." I say, and Jayden carries the bags upstairs as I follow behind him. We're the first group here and the house is way too quiet.
Millie and Mark follow behind us and Jayden shows them their room for the weekend, Millie looking excited, since the last time we ever even went away for the weekend was when our mother was around. The room Jayden and I are sharing is a large room with a big double bed, along with a connected bathroom, and a balcony that overlooks the ocean.
"Who owns this house? May I ask?" I ask Jayden curiously.
"It's something my dad used to own, my mum usually just rents it for people who come down here for holidays. But we have it totally free this weekend." Jayden says as he begins to unpack his bag.
"I love it." I quietly say, walking over to the balcony that over-looks the ocean. I can hear the sound of the crashing waves in the distance, and I cannot wait to get down there and visit the ocean for the first time in years.
"I know. It's so peaceful up here. It's a good escape from our own little worlds." Jayden says as he sets up the bathroom.
"I could just live here, away from everyone else. It would be a literal paradise." I say, slowly drifting off into my own daze.
"For next summer, I should be able to get the house for at least a solid week. We can come up here when summer begins. If you want." Jayden offers, peeping his head out from the bathroom.
"I would love that," I say, keeping my eyes on the horizon.
Soon enough, the other boys arrive with so much alcohol to supply a whole night club.
"This weekend is going to be the best weekend of your lives!" Sammy shouts, carrying in what appears to be a keg?
"Holy shit Sammy, a whole fucking keg?" Jayden asks, looking surprised as she spots the keg being wheeled into the kitchen.
"Fuck it, why not?!" Sammy says slamming the keg down on the floor in the kitchen and unloading the rest of the alcohol onto the counter.
"Are you guys throwing a party here tonight?" I ask.
"Yeah, tonight is party night. It's going to go OFF!" Zach comes in and answers my question.
I haven't seen him since our dared kiss, and I hope for both of our sakes he doesn't remember. By the way, he greets everyone and even greets me, it's safe to say it doesn't bother him one bit. As long as it doesn't bother Jayden, I don't care about anyone else. But hopefully, Jayden understands, that it was nothing more than a childish dare, and Zach was so drunk that there is only a small chance that he even remembers it. Jayden and Zach act normally around each other, so obviously Jayden must have apologized for punching him, or made up for it somehow.
Soon enough, the kitchen looks like a bar with all the alcohol laying around. Hundreds of bottles, everywhere. I have a feeling tonight is going to get messy.
