Bad Boy's Love

Chapter 29

"Jay! Slow down!" I scream as Jayden speeds down a main road, trying his hardest to get to his destination. He still hasn't informed me on what is going on, and by the way he's driving I'm feeling anxious and scared.

Jayden slows down and makes his way through the gated community Mel and I once came through. It felt like years ago, yet it was only a month ago. I recognise the surroundings and remember the park, where I saw a group of boys. It was them, Jayden and his gang. That's where we're heading now.

He pulls up in front of the park and jumps out of the car. I get out of the car, still confused as to why we're coming here. Jayden locks the car behind us and I follow behind him as he leads the way through the park. Darkness completely surrounds us, and I grab hold of his hand, scared of what we're going to approach. I spot Jayden's gang and another group of guys surrounding them. It doesn't look good at all. Jayden breaks out into a sprint as he hears a scream, leaving me in the darkness by myself.

I slowly walk closer and notice who the other gang is. It's the gang that confronted us in the diner. I notice the guy who Jayden choked, he stands over a boy who is lying helplessly on the ground.

Jayden sprints over to Harry and pushes him down to the ground, connecting his fist with Harry's jaw.

Zach runs over to me and grabs me while I notice tears coming from his eyes.

"Morgan, you need to get out of here. Now." Zach demands as he tries to push me away from the scene.

"Zach, what is going on?!" I shout as Zach continues to shield me from the commotion.

"Morgan. Leave. Now." Zach orders, but I manage to push past him and run over to the group.

I see it all.

Harry, attacking Jayden while his gang attempt to throw punches at Sammy and Ryder. Clearly out-numbering them both. Harry jerks his head towards me and he pushes Jayden to the ground and begins to make his way towards me.

"Ah, here we are. The return of Morgan." Harry sneers and he continues to walk towards me. I feel my skin crawl and my throat tightens as he closes the distance between us, grabbing a small piece of my hair and twirling it between his fingers. I want to scream and punch him, but I know for a fact I'm out-numbered, and Jayden lies lifelessly on the ground.

"You came here for some fun? I can show you a good time." Harry whispers into my ear and I feel the bile rise in my throat.

"Fuck off." I spit to Harry, jolting away from him and running to Jayden as he groans.

"Jay, Jay. Look at me. Look at me." I demand, grabbing his face and placing pressure on the gash on his stomach. Caught up completely in trying to help Jayden conscious, I don't notice the lifeless body beside me.

I look over at the body and recognize Colin. Blood pouring from his mouth, and his eyes closed shut.

"Oh, my god." I gasp and run over to Colin. But I'm too late.

I feel for his pulse. Nothing. I try to perform CPR, but nothing.

"Someone call an ambulance!" I call out, but I'm completely ignored. I feel sick all at once, looking at the dead body beneath me.

"One of you fuckers killed him!" I scream, tears pouring from my eyes. Jayden groans, but manages to get up from the ground and crawl over to Colin's body.

I cry uncontrollably as I lean over Colin's body. A life, now gone.

"He didn't play by the rules." A voice says from behind me, and I recognize the venom in his voice. Zane.

I turn around and face him, bile continuing to rise in my throat.

"You're fucking sick." I say to him, "you deserve to rot in hell."

Zane laughs, "yeah, with you."

"Never in a million years." I spit back, anger running through me again, my blood boiling.

Jayden grabs my hand, "Morgan, we need to leave. Now."

"Jayden, you really need to shut your bloody mouth." Zane threatens, taking a few steps closer towards us. Jayden manages to stand up, and he faces Zane.

"And you need to leave, before I break your neck, like how I should have a long time ago." Jayden threatens back, grabbing Zane by the shirt. "You killed my best friend, now you're going to pay for it."

I see fear flash over Zane's face before Jayden throws him onto the ground and punches him, over and over. Once Jayden leaves Zane almost dead on the ground, he manages to pull Harry off of Zach and does the same thing to Harry.

I close my eyes, realizing I'm still crying as I sit beside Colin's body. I look around me and see three bodies lying around, while the other boys from Harry's group ran off long ago.

"We need to go. Now." Jayden says as he grabs my arm and pulls me off of the ground. My heart breaks, even more, when I watch him carry Colin's body.
