Chapter 38: The Epic Surprise

Ashlyn's POV

Lahat kami busy sa pagse-set-up ng mga decor. The couple will be here any moment. And after a while....done!

Pinagmasdan ko lang yung decor. Naiiyak ako at 'di ko mapigilan. This looks exactly like the surprise they had 3 years ago. Every single detail. Except the fact na hindi para sa'kin ang surprise.

"This scenery looks familiar. Where did you get these?", tanong ni Brittney sa'kin. Di ako nakasagot kaya si Raven na ang nagsalita.

"The same place we ordered flowers for Ashlyn 3 years ago", sabi niya.

"Huh?", tanong ni Nathan.

"Don't bother asking Nathan. Baka masaktan ka lang", napatigil ako sa sagot ni Raven. Lahat kami napatingin sa kanya.

Ohhh...burn 🔥

"You are so INSENSITIVE", napatingin ako kay Brittney na nagsalita.

"What?", tanong ni Raven. Uh-oh....I sense...trouble?

"I said: YOU ARE SO INSENSITIVE", pag-ulit ni Brittney.

"Pa'no naman ako naging insensitive?"

"Dapat inisip mo muna yung sinabi mo bago mo sabihin. It was a little offensive" ~Brittney

"I was just stating a probability in the form of a warning. Precautions kumbaga. Besides, it's true. Baka masaktan lang siya" ~Raven

"Seriously? Baka masaktan siya? Eh sinaktan mo na nga siya sa sinabi mo eh, lalong lalo na sa pagkasabi mo. What? Do you think na hindi siya masasaktan dahil sa sinabi mo? No! Lalo siyang mapapaisip at masasaktan dahil sa sinabi mo" ~ Brittney

I was like 'huh?'

"Are you saying that I've given him a reason to get hurt by warning and preventing him to get hurt?" ~ Raven

"Yes! Exactly my point. You've given him a reason to get hurt by stating the possible outcome. Inuunahan mo. Pa'no kung hindi naman pala siya masasaktan? Pinakaba mo lang yun tao. Hindi ba yun harsh para sa'yo?" ~ Brittney

"No. 'Cause as far as I'm concerned, I didn't intend to hurt anyone's feelings. It's accidental" ~ Raven

"That's the problem. That's as far as YOU'RE concerned. Plus, you said it yourself, UNINTENDED. Which means you weren't aware... And that you didn't think before you acted. 'Di mo inisip yung posibleng outcome. That proves you're really insensitive. You don't include the possible reaction and feedback of others from your act. 'Di mo na nga inaalam yung mga pangyayari, 'di mo pa iniisip ang mararamdaman ng ibang tao", sagot ni Brittney. Natahimik naman si Raven at hindi nagsalita. It's as if he's out of words for a moment. Woah. Mas malalim na 'tong alitan ah.

Hindi ko na maintindihan yung mga pinagsasasabi nila. Ano daw?

"Uhm. Excuse me ah. Ako pa ba yung pinag-uusapan niyo?", singit ni Nathan.

"Oo nga. Siya pa ba ang pinag-uusapan niyo?", sabi ni Ethan.

"Excuse me. Parang nagulo yung mga bulaklak dun, ayusin ko lang", matabang na paalam ni Brittney. Ok, this is bad.

"Uh---I. I'll help you with that", presenta ko. What? Alangan naman na hayaan ko yun sa ganitong sitwasyon diba?

Nakatitig lang si Raven habang papalayo sila Ashlyn at Brittney.
