~Adam's POV~

Critical condition.

What does that mean?

"You can go see her, Mr. Dahlberg," the doctor told me with a solemn expression. And with that, he left the room.

I led the group down the hall to Hannah's room. When we got inside, Hannah was asleep. She had a big bandage across her right arm.

"Hey, sleepyhead," Ian said. He sat down in the chair next to the bed.

"Hi," Hannah said groggily, her eyes fluttering open.

"Is this real?" Hannah said, looking at her "arm" in shock.

"Yeah, sorry kiddo," I tried to say as happy as I could.

"It's ok," Hannah yawned. "You didn't do it." I laughed.

"You're so brave," Mitch told Hannah.

"I'm not brave, I'm just lucky to be alive," Hannah acknowledged.

"Thank Jerome a whole ton for that. He drove out on a jet ski to save you," I explained.

Hannah looked at Jerome.

"Thanks a whole ton," Hannah said smiling.

"I didn't even know how to drive it," Jerome admitted.

"I....I...thanks..." Hannah said, drifting off to sleep again.

Winta held tight on Hannah's hand, and sat on the floor next to Hannah's bed.

"I'm lucky times 10 that's you're alive. I couldn't live without you," Winta said. I led her out of the room. I was the only one left with Hannah.

I stayed the night in the hospital with her, in case she needed anything in the middle of the night.

Really, I knew she wouldn't need anything. I just needed to know she was alright.
