Hi beshies, sorry for the kinda late post, I couldn't find enough images to post in this story so pasensya na if konti lang images.

Can't say much about this chapter, other than that what happened to Maine during her presentation here actually happened to me, haha. I had my own "Kayla" who was also envious of my position, also in a land development company. So some of the things I've included in this story have happened to me, especially the Kayla arc.

Ganon talaga, the Kaylas in our lives make us stronger and better persons, and we aren't attacked by persons like her if we did not have something that they want. Every office has at least one person like her, I guess.

As for Maine, she has people rooting for her, us included :) Hope you enjoy this chapter, feel free to share your thoughts about a surprise scene....hihi.

Phoenix Land was holding its planning session in Subic, and all managers were attending. The annual event was supposedly a preparation for the next three calendar years, where plans and budgets were supposedly presented for approval of management. It was a gruelling two-day activity with heavy partying in the form of drunken fellowship nights, when managers were allowed to let their hair down and relax.

Maine was not a heavy drinker and was definitely staying away from the evening activities. She knew that the guys would be expecting her to be the life of the party, and she would rather stay in her room to read a book she brought along, or take a swim in the pool later. For now though, she first had to defend her new marketing plan and budget, and she was a bit apprehensive because of her radical ideas on the strategies.

"Nervous? Don't be, I will support you dear," Cassie said, with a tap on her shoulder. Cassie was fast becoming an good friend, having been kind enough to take her through the ropes of getting to know the people she needed to touch base with for her projects.

Since part of her plans involved the advertising budget, it was important that she and Cassie supported each other

It was finally Maine's turn to present. Alden transferred to a seat near the front of the function room to listen attentively to her presentation. Just as she was about to start, Kayla slid into the empty seat beside Alden and draped an arm on his backrest. It distracted her, but she gave a small shake of her head and started her presentation.

Everything was going smoothly until she got to the point of discussing her adspend. In her new strategies, she decided to cut down on print ads and spend more on digital marketing programs such as placements on Youtube, Instagram and Facebook. Kayla of course found an opportunity to question her plan and how sure was Maine that it would work.

"You're going to spend your print ad budget on production of videos and content for social media? How sure are you that people will notice all that?"
