Gooood evening my dears! I am feeling so much better now. I was able to make singit one update despite the toxic day! That's how much I love you guys. I was so hungry for MaiChard but persevered when they were quiet all day........because that usually means they're together.
Anyway, this chapter is a look at how our couple is transitioning from friends to lovers. They are in love but selfish with their relationship, they don't want others to know about it yet (sounds familiar?). But is it really a common decision?
Sometimes, we make decisions and assume our partner thinks and feels the same, without really validating what they feel. They don't say anything because they want to avoid an argument, so they just grin and bear whatever we want.
Unsolicited advice: from time to time, ask the partner how (s)he feels. You can feel it if they have something on their mind, probe it and bring it out. They will love you more for showing that you caring about what they think or feel.

Ever since they became a couple, Maine noticed a change in Alden. She was not sure if it was a positive change, but she wasn't complaining.
It all started with her plea that they keep their relationship a secret. She did not want to jinx their relationship by having everyone talk about them. She was also aware of the barako's bets about her making a man out of "gay" Alden and she felt the bet was insulting to both of them. She believed it was ok with him to keep things under wraps.
But she was not aware that it hurt him to keep their relationship a secret. He felt she was ashamed of him because of his gay image, a far cry from her past boyfriends who were all undoubtedly male. But he never complained because he respected her decision and would support her. Maybe he also needed to change his image so that she could be proud of him.
So he skipped breakfasts with her to workout three workdays a week, and did ten kilometer runs on Saturdays and Sundays. His morning runs gave him a slight tan that looked damn hot on his well-toned arms and shoulders. He also changed his choice of clothes, going for more classic, plain shirts instead of the trendy print shirts he used to wear.

The result? He looks good enough to eat. She gets breathless just looking at him, and with the way girls ogle at him, she sometimes regrets ever deciding to keep their relationship a secret. They were having lunch at their favorite ramen restaurant when Liv suddenly walks in with another common friend, Gia.
