Hello my dears. I was so touched with the messages of encouragement and prayers. Thank you you very much for being so nice to me. Writing is more than a hobby to me, it is my escape and outlet from reality, and the nicest bonus I got out of this is meeting you all. Here in Wattpad, the community is kinder and more nurturing, and I hope it will stay this way. After some reflection all day of yesterday and today, I felt that I could be active here in Wattpad even if I'm not on Twitter. I am not sure if I will ever go back to Twitter, I miss my friends there, but the peace of mind away from all the hanash is golden.
Anyway, tuloy ang saya. I don't want to reflect on sad stuff anymore. My event turned out really, really good. No less than our CEO commended me and my team for the success of our event, salamat sa prayers mga bes :)
So just because I'm feeling better, here's a chapter that's light and, I hope, enough to make you smile at least, because too much hanash na sa labas, let's be happy here. Have a great week ahead my dear friends and once again, thank you for being my strength :)
Alden took Maine to see a movie after leaving her house. In the car, he was quiet, he still wondered why Nico treated his sister that way. It was one thing to hear about it from her, and another to actually see Nico bullying Maine in the guise of joking.
"Hey.....You ok?"
She linked an arm through his and nudged when he wouldn't answer. Was he ok? Despite his parent's problems in their marriage, he was brought up in a loving household when he was much younger. The fights about his father's womanizing came only later when he was already in high school, when his father started playing golf and became friends with men who did the same.
"Maine........no matter what your brother tells you, always remember that you are beautiful. Not only in my eyes, but in the eyes of others too."
"Did you argue while I was getting dressed?"
"No. I promised you I'd behave. But I did warn him if he continues bullying you, mag-aaway na kami."
"What did he say?"
"Nothing. Will it be ok with him for you to spend the night with me?"
"I guess so. I'll just call tonight to remind him. Stop thinking about him na. I'm ok, don't worry."
Alden suddenly remembered something.
"Baby may nakakalimutan tayo."
"Ano?"
"Diba nanalo ka sa pustahan natin way, way back?"
"Alin yung pag-kiss mo na style bulok? Hahaha, oo nga ang tagal na nun. Ibibili mo ko talaga ng gusto ko?"
"Of course, a promise is a promise. Mamaya, gusto mo bili na tayo?"
"Sige."

There was nothing really interesting to watch so they just went around the mall to check out some training shoes. Maine wanted to workout with Alden every morning, and thought he would be the best person to choose what kind of shoes she needed.
"Gusto mo running shoes na para kahit weekend pag tumakbo ako sama ka na rin?"
"Kaya ko ba yun?"
"Hindi naman ako marathoner, of course kaya mo yun."
They were on their way to a Nike store when they passed a lingerie boutique, and Maine was drawn to the display. It was a beautiful nightie, with a matching robe over it. She stared at it with a smile on her face.
