Second update my dears!  We're getting nearer and nearer to some reveals in our story and  know you are looking forward to that. I know you're eager to read Alden's back story, that's around four chapters away :)

In this chapter, ficAlden is beginning to come to terms with his feelings for Maine. Will the feelings be strong enough for him to come out in the open? Will he finally junk his facade and reveal what he really is?

What happens when someone you've been pushing away seems to finally accept that (s)he has no place in your life?

We sometimes make the mistake of pushing away people we care about, when we actually love them more than we want to show. I remember back in my teens, my mom was so angry with my older brother because he was always out on his bike. It came to a point where she was so angry, she told him to leave on his bike and never come back. My brother tearfully left. My mom had no idea he would really leave, and after a few minutes, she asked my dad to find him.

When they came back, she was still angry with him, and did not show that she was worried at all. It caused my brother pain, and I ached for him. I'm not saying my mom was wrong, maybe that was her way of getting a point across so that my brother would take her seriously. But what happens if my dad failed to find my brother?

Show love more than anger or hate. Be stingy with the hateful words, but generous with affection. Regret is such a painful reality, my friends. So while you still can, just show love :)

Alden was having lunch with the belles at the employees' lounge, and across him several tables away sat Gab, Maine and Liv. Maine's back was turned from him as well as Gab, Liv was facing Alden. He couldn't eat properly, observing Maine as Gab fussed over her. Gab would stand to get her bottled water, dessert, napkins......what the fuck, everything. Alden was getting all worked up and he didn't know why. Gelay tapped him on the shoulder to catch his attention.

"Baby boy, huy. Kumain ka nga. Hindi makukuha sa masamang tingin yan."

"May iniisip lang ako."

"Threatened ka kay Gab no?"

"Hindi ha. Grabe ka."

"Bakit? Close kay Maine oh. Eh guwapo din kaya nagkakaganyan ka. Sweet nila oh."

"Huwag ka ganyan Gelay ha. Palibhasa ikaw may type diyan."

"Uy oo. Bagay kaya kami tignan mo."

"Bagay din naman tayo ha
