Feeling better today, saw my doctor and he said I need to see an Opthalmologist first to rule out eye problems before deciding on a CT scan again. So we'll see. Thanks for still praying for me:)
So without further ado, read on. Enjoy and be sure to leave a comment below, ok? :)
Alden happily rang the bell of their room, which was answered at the second ring. Maine opened the door to him, wary of what she might see in his face. But he was looking at her with a wide smile, his dimple deeply etched on his cheek.
He took her in his arms and kissed her hungrily, his heart happy over the way things were working in their favor. Maine pulled away from him and looked at him inquiringly.
"Is everything ok now?"
"Yes, I believe so."
"How did you make her agree to leave us alone?"
"Her husband Evan helped me."
He started to relate how he and Evan got together to make Janine come to her senses.
-----
Alden was in a meeting with his team when a note was passed on to him that a certain Atty. Benny Domingo wanted to see him. He left his team and stepped out to see a tall and slim bespectacled guy who stood upon seeing him and shook his hand.
His message was simple. He represented Evan Fullerton, Janine's Fil-American husband, and his client wanted to meet with Alden the following day. He assured Alden that Evan meant no harm, they would be discussing matters about Janine in a civil manner and he could pick the place and time.
Alden met Evan and instinctively felt he was one of the good guys. They talked briefly about Janine, her desire to talk to Alden and how it was affecting his relationship with Maine.
"Alden, I love Janine. You probably think I'm crazy to still carry a torch for someone who is so obviously interested in someone else, but before she saw that video of you and Maine, we were happy. I thought she'd already moved on."
"I'm so sorry Evan. I tried to evade her years before but....."
"I think this talk will be good for you both, Alden. Just be firm with her, she's very astute. Drive your point and she will get it. I will take care of the rest."
Evan shared how he painstakingly sought the help of Benny, his lawyer and best friend to pull all stops to find Janine's daughter. It was actually easy, they were able to trace her talent scout, who turned the baby over to a legitimate orphanage, but never divulged the name of the orphanage to Janine. She told Janine that the baby was quickly adopted and taken abroad by the new parents.
The truth though, was that the nuns in the orphanage had taken a fancy on Emily and raised her themselves. She stayed in the orphanage until she was twenty, then worked her way through college in Manila. She was practically under Janine's nose and if Janine was resourceful enough, she could have found her daughter quickly.
-----
"So it's really over? Janine won't bother us anymore?"
"Looks like it. Evan also said he's adopting Emily so that they can bring her to the US with them."
"That is so nice of him."
He dipped his head on her neck and sniffed.
"You smell sooo good."
"Hmmm.....someone's feeling horny."
"Yes, someone's feeling Hulky again."
"Galit ka na naman?"
"Lagi naman."
She laughed softly and playfully jumped over him, her legs winding around his waist. He caught her by the waist and buried his mouth in the valley of her breasts, his stubble tickling her.
A/N : So where does this lead to, would you know? :)
