Good weekend my dears! Yes, it's weekend again, more time to write and more time to read too. I hope I get the chance to do two updates again in a day, it's just that the past days have been hectic.
Anyway, like I always do, I include a back story for the antagonist(s). Well, here is Janine's journey and how she got to where she is now. Of course, an antagonist's back story does not, in any way, excuse the bad things done, it's only a rationalization of how a person has turned into the antagonist he or she is now.
I'm glad people are reacting positively to Janine's resurfacing, it means the readers are mature enough to deal with reality . Enjoy reading my dears, and as always, share your thoughts. We are #3 already mga beshies! Wapakels na sa hanash, happy lang tayo here :)
Janine sipped her coffee as she watched the lovers from afar. It was easy to find Alden even after he left no forwarding address when he moved from Singapore to Manila. She knew he would go back to the Faulkerson house in Greenmeadows, it would be easy for her to just walk up to that house and knock, talk to him again. But she knew he wouldn't talk to her, so she had to find another way to make him notice her.
She trailed him from his house, following him to his place of work. She found out about her, that she was also working in the same company, that rumors circulated about this girl's track record with relationships. She felt encouraged that the girl was not as ideal as Jade was. Somehow, she felt this girl would be easier to beat, once she was able to convince Alden how unsuitable she was for him.
Looking at them now, she noticed that they carried gym bags and probably workout in the same gym. The girl was pretty, she also had a nice body. Alden seemed so into her, he gave the girl rapt attention, and this made her heart constrict. Was it really so bad to claim back what was once hers? What was so wrong about their relationship anyway? They were both single when they were together. Sure, he was younger, but he was already above eighteen then.
Today she wanted to make her presence felt. She was thinking of how she could get the chance to talk to the girl in private, without Alden hovering over them. She didn't intend to hurt the girl, she just wanted to talk, to plead. This would be her last ditch effort to get him back. but the talk won't be happening today. It was too soon, and she wanted to plan well.
Truth be told, she knew she was prettier than this girl. But she also knew she was older, and this girl's youth was something she had going for her. They kissed, her fist clenched involuntarily, nails digging into her palm. She felt like crying but did not want to make a fool of herself. Her situation brought back feelings of self-doubt. Taking her back to the years she was young and hungry for attention.

"Princess, be a good girl ok? Papa loves you so much. Always remember that."
"Yes Papa."
"I will be back soon, ok? Take care of mama while I'm away."
"I will miss you, papa." Her chin shook uncontrollably as she tried to control her tears. She was a big girl now. Papa said big girls did not cry, and she wanted him to be proud of her.
"Ssshhhhh. Papa will be back, princess. Hush now."
