Hi there friends, not feeling too good since earlier, I guess the work is taking a toll on me a bit. If you can, my dears, please pray with me for my event on Friday to be a success. It's the first major event that I will be doing for my current job, and it's kind of make or break for me.
Moving on.....remember how ficMaine refused to put a label on their relationship? Well, this chapter is three months from that time, and still the relationship remains undefined, and even she is starting to worry. Imagine them interacting for three months with all that sexual tension between them, yet acting as friends only.
Sometimes kasi, we create our own problems, haha. We call the shots and get trapped with our decisions, and we stubbornly stick to those decisions because we are ashamed to admit we are wrong. Then the problem blows up in our face, and it can be awkward to fix things.

The sales reports for Phoenix Land's second quarter came in and was reported on during the first mancom meeting for the July. Rachelle reported that sales for Palermo and Portofino spiked up by 20% after the new brochures and Facebook campaign were implemented, both part of Maine's new strategies for the projects she took under her wing. The whole team was happy for her, and Maine felt validated for all her efforts.
All the late hours working with Gab and Cass paid off. All the arguing with Alden on the interiors, the changes implemented in all marketing collaterals helped bring in the figures. Rachelle teased Maine about being inspired with work, and the other managers seemed picked up on the joke.
"May bagong love team dito, grabe AlMaine, bagay!"
To all of this, Alden merely smiled, looking quietly at Maine until Kayla spoke.
"Iba talaga kamandag ni Maine. Girlfriend ng Bayan strikes again. Pati bading kaya niya paluhurin."
"Uy, teka bakit may luhuran. Kayla anong alam mo?"
"Guys, tama na yan," Rachelle said. "Maine, good job. Hope you keep the fire burning, yeah? Now on to business matters for the day......"

Alden wanted to celebrate and took Maine out that night for dinner. He was so proud of her, and it pleased him that their names were now mentioned in one breath. She changed from her corporate attire into a shirtdress cinched at the waist with a wide cummerbandher feet in white sandals .
