Second update friends!  Feeling your excitement over the reveals of the next chapters. Please be a little patient, I can't reveal everything in a single chapter, haha.  FicAlden is still building the courage to tell his story, and of course, that story cannot be told if he blurts it out in one go. So he sets the pace, he injects a little humor to put ficMaine at ease. Throughout these baby steps, he sets the mood for the reveal on their first formal date, and he wants that date to be special.

Please indulge me as I share a story about something special coming slowly. I always believed I had a good relationship with God, but in 2011, I started feeling something was lacking. My son started attending a baptist service nearby, but he stopped after two visits because there was still something missing.

So I suggested we attend a Victory service in Galleria, all four of us. No one invited us, we just walked in, and it was like we were given a gift. We joined separate prayer groups and got to know God in a totally different perspective: that God loves us regardless of the mistakes we commit/will commit, not for the good deeds we need to do to be worthy of His love. Still, it took us a few years before we got our water baptisms to be renewed Christians. Why? Because this was a big deal to us, we wanted to be sure.

I had my water baptism in 2015,  same with my son and hubby. My elder son is having his baptism on November. I do not recommend you to convert, the moral of the story is for you to pace yourself with things that matter to you, because anything that is rushed will not turn out good.

Good things come to those who wait, and in this story, ficAlden's time away from a relationship when he was still healing himself has paid off :)

"Hindi ko na kaya labanan. I have feelings for you Maine. Matagal na."

She looked at him, unable to believe what she was hearing. They just looked each other for a few seconds, their eyes glazed with unshed tears.

Then his gaze shifted to her mouth, his head slowly lowered, waiting for her to stop him

Then his gaze shifted to her mouth, his head slowly lowered, waiting for her to stop him. But she didn't, her hands tightening on his arms as their lips met. His mouth fastened on hers, tasting her lips tentatively, his cold hand on her nape.
