Jay's POV

"So, how long has this been going on Ms. Shaw?" I asked as I was checking her heart rate with my stethoscope.

"Ever since I started chemotherapy. I just thought it was one of the side effects, but this is just way out of hand." She said as she started coughing up blood in her tray.

"Alright ma'am... I suspect that there is some internal bleeding, so I'm gonna have to perform surgery to assess the problem okay?" I asked as she shook her head agreeing.

Moniece, Keith, Jessie, and Chief Hardwick were standing outside the door.
As I walked out, I started becoming curious.

"Maybe the chemotherapy is causing all this. Do you think any of the radiation could be burning any of her insides?" Moniece asked as I still thought about it.

"That's possible... but whatever it is, I need you all to go in and operate immediately. I'll page Dr. Alsina, so he can join you in the O.R." The Chief said as he walked off.

I heard a loud noise and it sounded like Ms. Shaw was still in distress. When I walked back in the room, there was blood all over the floor and her mouth was red.

"What the-----" Keith yelled out as I shushed him.

"Keith, go runs scans on her so I can see what we're really dealing with." I said as he shook his head okay and he ran in the opposite direction.

"Jay, I'll help you...." Mo said to me as I shook my head no.

"Y'all! Go get dressed and meet me in O.R 4. I'm coming up and tell some of the nurses to come help me." I said as I ran towards her.

She couldn't stop crying...

"Ms. Shaw does anything hurt?" I asked as I stepped over the blood puddles and I made it to her.

"Noooo... why is this happening to me? I'm so scared." She said crying as I rubbed her back.

"It's alright I know you're scared. But, I'm right here and we're gonna do everything in our power to fix you up okay?" I said to her as she shook her head okay and nurses started pouring in.

As I watched them step over the blood, I looked down and I saw green particles in it. It's probably from her other body fluids.

"We need to get her upstairs right now!" I semi-yelled as they started pushing her bed out of the door and into the hallway.

As I was walking along her bed-side, I started feeling dizzy. I noticed blood all over my scrubs also.

I heard the elevator door open and four of us stepped on together.

Ms. Shaw grabbed my hand while inside and I let her to keep her calm. In a hospital, the patient always comes first.

When we reached the floor, the nurses started rolling her out. I let go of her hand and I started walking slowly behind them.

"Dr. Manali, are you alright?" One of the nurses asked as I shook my head yes.

"Of course... my stomach feels nauseous, that's all." I said walking into the O.R behind them.

"I see she must've thrown up on you." Mo said as she was already dressed and prepped with her coat and gloves on.

"At this point... I don't even care what happened. We just need to help her. I would hate to be throwing up nothing but blood." I said as I walked towards the O.R scrub room.

It's where you wash your hands and put gloves and stuff on before surgery.

"Jay, you see that green stuff in her blood?" Mo asked me as we looked at the trail of blood on the floor. I guess they rolled the bed through it when they took her out the room.
