Are you excited to see your dad?" I asked as she jumped up and down with a smile on her face.
"Yes yes where is he mommy?" She asked as we walked outside. I rolled my suitcase and she had her book bag on.
"He should be pulling up any minute babe..." I said as I grabbed her hand and I kept her close to my side.
We're at the airport in Miami... we spent some time in Mexico together. I took a leave of absence to spend time with my baby girl. She's the sweetest little girl I could ever ask for, but she looks just like her father. They have the same facial expressions and everything.
I haven't been back to Miami General in a long time. But, I'm also back in town because my girl is getting married! I've been talking to Moniece ever since I left, and she finally found somebody. I'm so happy for my boo.

"Mommy there he is!" She yelled out in excitement as he got out the car. A huge grin appeared on both of our faces.
"Daddy!!!" She yelled out as they ran to each other and he picked her up. He swung her around and he placed kisses all over her face.
"Hi baby! I missed you so much! Did you and mommy have fun on the plane?" He asked as he started making plane noises and he was playing with her in the air. It was so cute.

"Yeah and mommy bought me candy too..." She said as he shook his head and he laughed at me.
"You know she's about to be bouncing off of the walls right?" He asked as I shrugged my shoulders.
"She's happy... that's all that matters right now." I said with a smile. He put her down and he walked up to me and embraced me with the sweetest hug.
I inhaled and I exhaled because of his grasp. I haven't felt like this in a long time.
"I missed you. How you been?" He asked as he grazed my cheek with his thumb.
"I've been fine Dave... holding up pretty well." I said as he cracked a smile and he bent down to pick her up.
"Kairi, wanna go to the beach?" Dave asked her as her face lit up.
"Yeah yeah yeah! Mommy can we go please?" She asked me as my eyes rolled in the back of my head.
I am so tired.
"Alright Babe... only for a little bit though. Mommy's tired." I said as she shook her head okay.
"You can go ahead and crash at my house. I'll take her." Dave said as I furrowed my eyebrows.
"You sure?" I asked as he shook his head yes.
"Of course... I missed my lil homie right here. We gone hang out for a lil bit. You can take the car and we'll catch an Uber. Is everything in her book bag?" He asked as I shook my head yes.
