Jay's Anatomy

The Talk.

Jay's POV

"Jay.. you can't keep doing this... you could've lost the baby." Moniece said as I took a deep breath. She's technically my gynecologist at this point.

"Moniece I was just working to get my mind off of things."

"I'm sure you were, but you just can't be pushing yourself to these limits. It's dangerous... you out of all people should know that your stress goes straight to the baby." She said as I started twiddling my thumbs.

"Baby girl what happened to you!?" My mom asked as she bursted through the door with everybody else. My jaw dropped as people started pouring in my room.

"Aye my bad... we tried to give you some time." Chris said scratching the back of his head as my mom sat on my bed. Dave stood up against the wall with Keith.

I looked in the distance through the door and I saw August and Zoey kinda going back and forth.

August's POV

"Zoey ion wanna hear it." I said walkin' away from her.

I've been hidin' somethin' for a while nah. I mean Dave basically was takin' the fall fa' sleepin' wit Zoey. So, I just let him get scolded. I ain't gone lie, Zoey came onto me too. It was really three of us. So, honestly, Ion know who the baby's daddy would've been.

I know I ain't right fa' keepin' it secret, but I ain't want no drama.

I mean, Dave and Zoey was drunk. We weren't. We just got caught up in the moment. Yeah, Dave got caught up, but he's really been trynna change to show Jay that he wants her.

I'm routin' fa' Chris and Dave. I just don't wanna be in the middle of nothin. Zoey keep trynna bring up the past and I keep shutting her down cause the situation is weeks old. Why try and dig up old dirt? What's done is done.

Jay's POV

"You sure you're okay sweetie?" My mom asked as she grabbed my hand. We were by ourselves at this point.

"Yeah ma... I just been working hard lately."

"Yeah, that's what Dr. East said. I can tell he's really fond of you." She said as I cracked a quick smile.

"Yeah he is... he's been around for a while."

"You like him and he definitely feels some type of way about you. I love it, but how does Chris feel? Are you guys together or?" She asked as I took a deep breath.

"No we're not..."

"Oh... I kinda figured that. You guys are close, but it's not the way it used to be when you were teenagers." She said as she searched to meet my eyes.

"Yeah mom... ya know, things change a lot when you grow up. You know I love Chris and I'll love Chris always. That's never stopping. But, I've been getting caught up lately. I love David too." I said taking a deep breath and looking down.

"Keep talkin' sweetie. Mama's listening..." She said with a half smile as she grabbed my hand.

"Dave pissed me off a while ago. He lied to me about his love life a little bit. I asked him if he slept with anybody from the hospital and he told me no. Of course, I went on and told him the truth about me and Chris. Then, like a month or two later, I find out that he slept with one of the doctors here... that Chris supposedly got pregnant. Then, she ended up losing the baby. It's just been so much ma."

I said running my fingers through my hair. The whole situation is stressful.

"Wow" My mom said as she started chuckling. I playfully pushed her and she calmed down.

"Alright sweet heart... you love two men. You slept with both of them?" She asked as I started yawning. Then, I felt her smack me on the side of my head.

"Owwwwww ma!" I semi-yelled as she muffed me. She's so abusive.

"Did they wrap up?" She asked as I furrowed my eyebrows. What the heck?

"Jay... answer me..." She said as I laid back on the bed.

"Whose the father?" She asked as my eyes widened.

"Mom wha—" I said as she cut me off quickly.

"You think I'm stupid? Is it written across my forehead? No? Well, answer the question." She said as I shook my head and I closed my eyes.

"It's Dave's.... he'd be happy, but Chris would be so hurt. I don't know what he's gonna do. He may never speak to me after I tell him. I was getting closer to Dave at the time and Chris was still with Zoey. Technically, I'm a grown woman, and I'm single. I can lay with who ever I please. But, I just didn't realize that it would really hurt people in the end." I said as my mom looked at me.

"If you love Dave, then you've gotta let him step in and do his job. He has to be included regardless because now you two share a child. Just by the way he looked at you, I could tell that there was a connection there. His face flew up. He loves you Jay. Let him be there. Yes, you're upset, but let David in. I talked to him a little bit and he's such a sweetie pie for somebody that's six feet five and looks mean." She said as we both chuckled.

"I know you love Chris, and that's still my boy. But, sometimes new doors open up. If he really cares about you and the bond that y'all have, he'll be there no matter what. Love will always be there between you two. Things in life happen for a reason. They can either help make you or break you. What are you gonna do with this situation?" My mom asked as I started thinking.

She had a point to everything she said. I think it's time for me to pull up my big girl panties and handle my business the right way.

Moniece's POV

"Is she okay?" Dave asked me as he sat down on the couch.

"Yeah Dave... she's just fine. You were scared?" I asked as I looked back at him.

"Of course I was... anything could've happened to her. I don't want anything bad to happen to her Mo, I love that girl... seriously." He said with genuine eyes as we both took a deep breath.

"Well her mom seems to like you." I said as we both chuckled.

"I'm glad she does... but Chris has a better advantage. They've obviously known each other since forever." He said as I shook my head agreeing.

"Definitely.... but I mean this is still a competition. So, play or get played." I said winking at him and turning my back.

I love Jay, but this is just so juicy.
