"Dave, you're being no help.." I said as he smacked his lips at me.
"I told you to get her the bag. She would love that." Dave said as we stood in the Gucci store. I'm picking up Mo's last present before the wedding this evening. I got her a whole bunch of stuff.
"Kairi... you want a Gucci bag too?" Dave asked her as I chuckled.

The girl had the nerve to shake her head yes.
"Girl you can Gucci that job you get when you get older. Then, we can talk about buying you a Gucci bag. Don't let ya daddy send you off." I said as Dave laughed hysterically.
"You one of them bogus black parents." He said as we both laughed.
"Boy you was just like me when Kai was running around the house last night." I said as he shook his head and I laughed.
"This is energizer bunny right here... but on a serious note, I wanna talk to you about something." He said as I shook my head ok.
He handed Kairi his phone so she could play while we sat down on one of the couch areas in the store.
He was staring at me and he was smiling.
"Boy, what you staring at?" I asked him as he laughed.
"I'm lookin' at yo fine self..." He said as I chuckled, blushed, and I looked away.
"But seriously... Jay I still really care about you. When we were together, we broke up because of a lie I shouldn't have told you, and I'm still sorry about that. But, now I see that you've grown as a person and it makes me admire you even more." He said as I looked up at him and I blushed even more.
"I still care about you a lot and my feelings for you run so deep. It's just crazy man. I came from the hood, I wasn't used to all the gushy mushy stuff as a boy. But, now I know what I want. I want you and Kairi in my house everyday. I want us to be a real family. Jay, I want us. This is where I wanna be." Dave said as I looked down.
Chris was lingering in the back of my head, but then I remembered him and Nola. Jay, you have to do what's best for you. Don't settle for less.
"Alright Dave..." I said with a small smile as he looked at me like he was surprised.
"Wait... really?" He asked as I chuckled.
"Yeah Dave... honestly... you're really the one who didn't ever give up on me. Right now in this moment, you're still putting in effort to make me yours. So, you know what? That's what I want. Somebody who puts me in the forefront. I love you and Kairi. The two of us together is what Kai needs. I would love to try us again." I said as he flashed a smile.
