Iris's P. O. V.
The cool December air nipped at our skin as we sat on a blanket that Zach had brought. He had taken me to a forest with a clearing that had an incredible view. He brought a bunch of blankets so we were laying on one, with another that we snuggled under.
"I'm done lying," I said knowing it would make him worry. "Zach, there's more to the argument that my mom and I had before I left."
"What was it about?"
"You," I answered quietly. "My mom had seen the video, and she freaked out about it. I tried to explain it to her, but she wouldn't let me. She just kept going on and one saying there weren't any good guys left. They all had bad intentions. Of course, in her mind that's what she sees. Cole, my dad, Jesse. She just didn't know any man that was good. I understood it, but then she was saying that you weren't good for me.
"She told me that she took me away from you guys because she knew that you would show your true self while I was away. Which you did. You were completely faithful to me, but she only saw you and Jazmine. It pissed me off that she took me away from you for no reason, and that she was saying you were bad for me, so I left."
"Iris, I'm so so sorry. This is my fault. I caused this fight," he said.
"No, it's not your fault Zach. You did absolutely nothing wrong," I told him.
"But your mom thinks I did." He sighed.
"Well, she knows it wasn't real. So when she called earlier, she apologized for assuming you cheated on me. Everyone did, so I was fine with that. But then she still said that you were bad for me. She said that dating celebrities caused too much drama. I told her that I was basically a celebrity, and she said that you were the only drama I had. Obviously she upset me, and it hurts me to repeat all of this to you, but it also hurt me to keep this from you," I said. He pulled me closer into his chest and kissed my head.
"I just want you to know, that no matter what happens I'll always be here. I won't ever leave because your mom doesn't like me. There are tons of people that don't like me, but that doesn't stop me from being who I am. I just feel guilty because I ruined your only family relationship."
"But you brought back my relationship with my dad. I couldn't thank you enough for that. I needed him to be there for me when my mom wasn't, and he has been. It's almost like my parents switched. I used to not rely on or trust in my dad, but now I don't rely on or trust in my mom."
"But that's not a good thing. I'm keeping you from your mom."
"But Zach, you're making me a gazillion times happier than she would if I had stayed with her."
"I just don't want to get between you and your family."
"It's not your fault. And again you're the one who brought back my dad."
We stayed silent from then on, admiring the clear sky and stars above us.
"Our lives are crazy," I blurted randomly.
"What do you mean?" He chuckled.
"We have so much going on in our lives. It's hard to keep track of it all. Sometimes it doesn't even feel real."
"But it is. We're living our dream with some struggles along the way. Everyone has those."
"I just can't believe that none of this would've happened if it weren't for Jack. I'd probably be dead if it weren't for him."
"Well I'm glad you're not, because I wouldn't be able to live without you," he said pulling me closer to him and placing a sweet kiss on my cheek.
It was probably about twenty minutes later when I checked my phone to see it was already midnight.
"We should go home. We have a lot to do tomorrow," I told him sitting up. He sat up with me before connecting his lips to mine.
Zach stood up and grabbed my hands pulling me up, too. We took all the blankets back to the car and Zach drove us back to his house.
The house was pretty much silent except for Jack, who was talking to someone. When we rounded the corner, we saw Jack talking to his phone.
"I found them guys," he said showing us on the camera.
"Hey guys!" We both waved. We talked to the fans on Jack's live for a few minutes, but then Zach and I decided to go to bed.
We lay in the same position as before in Zach's bed. We just talked about some random things before Zach had fallen asleep.
"Zaach?" I whispered receiving no answer. I sat up and admired his face. I ran my hand through his hair once before kissing him on the cheek and laying back down.

"Burn the bridges, burn them down
Burn the bridges, burn them down
Burn the bridges, burn them down, down, down, down, down
Burn the bridges, burn them down, down, down, down, down, down."As I ended my last song, the crowd burst into screams and applause. My smile spread from ear to ear. I thanked the fans before running backstage where Zach and my dad were waiting.
I hugged both of them and kissed Zach as they complimented my performance.
"You were incredible. As always," Zach said.
"Usually I'm the one saying that to you." I laughed.
I hugged them both again before heading to the meet and greet. Afterwards, we got in the van that would take us to the airport for our flight to Pennsylvania.

"You glad to be back home?" My dad asked as we pulled into Jack's driveway.
"Sure." I sighed. We took our bags inside and said hi to the whole family. I went down the line hugging Kristin, Jack, Ava, and Isla.
We stood there smiling and talking, until there was a loud cough causing everyone to go silent. I turned around and saw my mom stand up from her seat.
