Iris's P. O. V.
The guys were in the living room doing some vocal exercises while I was texting Kayla about everything that had happened in the past two weeks. Zach and I had gone on two more dates, but we still hadn't kissed yet.
My phone rang, so I went into the kitchen to answer.
"Hello?" I said into the speaker
"Hey, Iris. It's Meghan," my manager said.
"Oh hey. Have you thought about me going on tour?" I asked immediately.
"I have and, like I said before, I think you should stay in California. With your career still in the making, we need you fully focused on your music. I'm sorry, but I think a tour will distract you." I sighed.
"Can I at least visit them?" I asked.
"Of course... Now, the real reason I called you was because the record label wants to release the song and a music video for 'burning bridges'. We have a director and an idea set, but we need you to approve it. If you could come by my office sometime tomorrow, that'd be great."
"Okay. I'll come by tomorrow afternoon."
"Okay great. I'm sorry you can't go on tour, but it's for the best."
"It's okay." We said bye and then I hung up.
I looked through the walkway to the living room to see the guys laughing with each other. I'd miss these guys and how much they make me laugh, but Meghan is right. This is better for my career.
I walked back into the living room and sat next to Zach who put his arm around me.
"What's wrong?" Jack asked noticing I wasn't smiling.
"Meghan said I for sure can't go on tour with you guys."
"Noo!" Jonah exclaimed.
"Sorry guys, but I have to stay."
"You'll visit, though, right?" Zach asked.
"Of course. I couldn't spend two months without seeing you guys" I said causing everyone to surround me with hugs.
"Awww," the guys cooed.
"I know we haven't known each other for that long, but I feel like you guys are my family now," I said
"Of course we're family!" Daniel shouted.
We watched some movies and played each others songs until about midnight. The guys went up to bed except for me and Zach.
"I don't want to leave you tomorrow," he said pulling me onto his lap. I straddled him and put my hands on his shoulders.
"We can talk everyday, or as often as you can, and I'll visit every once in a while," I told him.
"I wish you could come with us. That would be so much fun." He sighed.
"I know. Maybe next time," I said.
"I'm tired." He yawned
"Me, too," I said. "Wanna carry me to bed?" I asked jokingly. Zach gripped my thighs and stood up as he took me to the stairs.
"I was joking," I told him.
"Oh well."
"I wish I didn't have to share a bed with Jack," I said.
"Me, too. I wish you shared with me." He smirked. I nodded and quietly laughed.
He took me into Jack's room and gently let me down on the bed.
"Goodnight," I said
"Goodnight." He kissed my forehead, then left.
Jack rolled over and looked me in the eyes.
"Can I move into Zach's room?" I asked sweetly.
"Nope."
"Why not?"
"Because your mom made me promise to keep an eye on you, and she told both of us she didn't want you sharing a room with him."
"But my mom isn't here."
"You're not sharing a room with him."
"Ugh." I rolled over and went to sleep. I could hear Jack quietly laughing at me.

I took the boys to their tour bus the next day for their start of the tour. I hugged Jonah, Daniel, Jack, and Corbyn. I walked up to Zach and hugged him. He wrapped his arms around me, squeezing me tightly. He looked up and saw the guys were already walking away to leave us alone.
"Iris, I know we haven't known each other for that long, but it feels like I've known you forever. I know it's bad timing since I'm leaving, but I wanted to make this official before I left. So, Iris will you be my girlfriend?" He asked scratching the back of his neck.
"Of course." I hugged him again and when I pulled back, I kissed him. For our first kiss, it was amazing. I would've kissed him longer, but the guys started yelling at him. I wish I had kissed him before now.
"Bye." I hugged him again.
"Goodbye." He pecked my lips, then left with the guys.
I waved until I couldn't see them anymore, then I walked back to the car.
I put on some music as I drove home. Before I met the guys, I was used to being alone. Now that I had been with them every second of every day, I felt really lonely.
I drove to Meghan's office to discuss the video. When I got there, I knocked on her door and walked in.
"Hey Iris."
"Hey, so what's this video idea?"
"So your song is about an ex who you haven't gotten over yet, right? So the video is set in a regular house and it'll just be you walking around and you're like super upset. You just kinda like throw a tantrum. Like throwing things and just expressing your pain."
"Woah, that's gonna be hard."
"Why?"
"Well I've moved on from the guy that this song was about."
"Well, you'll just have to remember what you felt like when it first happened. Here's the schedule for the shoot, and the day we hope to upload the video," she said handing me a piece of paper.
"Okay, thanks."
I drove home and worked on my newest song until I decided to make myself dinner. I put on some music so the house wouldn't be silent, and made dinner.
After I cleaned up all the dishes, I got a call from Kayla.
"Heyy," she said stretching out the y
"Hey."
"You okay?"
"Yeah, but the guys left earlier and now I'm alone in the house," I told her.
"Oh."
"You should fly out here!" I suggested.
"What?"
"Yeah, it's the summer and unless you have stuff going on, you could totally fly out here."
"Iris, I don't think I have enough money for a plane ticket."
"What if I help you? Please, I don't want to be alone for two months."
"Are you sure? I don't want you to spend so much money on me."
"Kayla, you're my best friend. Let me do this."
"Well.. Okay!"
"Yay!"
I can only stay for two weeks because I have acting camp."
"That doesn't matter. You're flying to California!"
