6- Closer

The second I wake up I replay the events from last night in my head, Shawn was so understanding he just listening to everything I had to say, that's all I needed I didn't want pity or judgment just someone to listen to me.

After sitting there for about 5 minutes just thinking about last night I heard little knocks on my window. I quickly got up to check what was going on outside my window, I opened up my blinds to see Shawn shirtless hanging out of his window throwing balls of paper at my window.

I open my window and close my eyes slightly and screw up my face because of the sun light hitting my eyes.

"What the hell are you doing it's too early for this" I say with a confused and slightly amused tone in my voice.

"I just wanted to see if you are up for a drive somewhere after school?" He said holding his weight up with his arms on the window frame.

"Depends, where are we going?" I said brushing my hair out of my face.

"Sunshine that part is a surprise, you'll have to wait and see" Shawn said looking back at me with a cheesy grin on his face causing me to chuckle a little.

"Fine I'll come with you but if this 'surprise' is scary I am leaving straight away" I said pointing my finger in his direction.

"Deal" Shawn said with a cute little smile.

I sigh and go to close my window but Shawn begins speaking again.

"Wait sunshine, you look so cute in the morning" he said with a wink, I rolled my eyes and shut the window.

That comment made me realise I've just hung out of the window in an oversized grey t-shirt and my hair all over place.

I hop In the shower and get ready for the day. I chose my high waisted blue ripped jeans with a simple white tee. Once my hair and make up was complete I went down stairs to find my my family sat around in the kitchen eating their breakfast.

"Morning everyone" I said walking over to Harley putting my arms around her embracing her in a big hug.

"I'll be home a little later today, I'm going out with Shawn after school" I say while putting bread in the toaster.

My mum and dad raise their eyebrows at me and give each other that look.

I laugh a little at their reaction "we are just friends, so get them thoughts out of your head, he's a nice guy" I say rolling my eyes at them.

"Okay sweetie have fun" my mum says kissing me on the forehead as she leaves the kitchen.

I finished eating then left my house, Shawn was already waiting in the car for me. I slide into the front seat and greet Shawn.

"Morning Mendes" I say with a smile.

"Morning sunshine" he said looking over at me.

The drive was quick as always we arrived at school to see Steph and her little squad were waiting by the front doors of the school, all their heads shot around to look at us when we arrived.

I sigh and look down "sunshine, don't worry I'll be with you the whole time, you'll be fine" Shawn said comforting me.

I smile at him "so much for a quite year with no unwanted attention" I say opening the door of the car.

Shawn puts his arm around my shoulder as per usual and walked towards the school.

"Hi Shawn... and Alicia" Steph said looking me up and down stood right in front of us.
