4- Friends?

I survived my the first week in my new school, it wasn't as bad as i thought, I learnt that if you stay out of people's business they'll stay out of yours.

I've been trying to avoid Shawn all week in school but that doesn't really work considering he sits next to me in maths and decided to stand by my locker all the time.

Every time I feel like I've got him figured out he does something or someone tells me something that completely changes my mind. He's got a lot of secrets, some part of me wants to get to know him but the other part of me wants him to just leave me along and for his book to remain closed.

Today is Saturday morning I've only just gotten out of bed after scrolling through my phone for about 10 minutes. I grab my clothes for the day and place them in the bathroom before I hope in the shower.

Once I was clean and dressed I walk back into my room while towel drying my hair.

Much to my surprise my mum was sat on my bed causing me to jump a little.

"Mum, what the hell?" I say steadying my breath.

"Sorry love, didn't mean to scare you. I just came in here to tell you that me and your father are going out tonight with Karen and Manny." My mum says.

I'm a little confused why she came up her to tell me this back home my mum and dad would go out all the time.

"Okay?" I said sounding like a question.

"That's not everything, Karen and Manny have also arranged for Shawn and Aaliyah to come over to bond with you and Harley" my mum quickly stated then tried to leave my room knowing I wouldn't want that to happen.

"Mum, you know that Shawn annoys me why would you say yes to that" I say following her out of the room.

"Well, if your father and I can make friends so can you, it'll be fun" she said trying to make it seem better than it is.

"I've made friends in school mum, isn't that enough?" I say with a sigh.

"Look Alicia, if there is any problems then I'm only on the other side of the phone, I'll be right home. It's just one night" she said calmly.

"Fine, but don't expect a friendship by the end of it" I said walking back into my room.

The only thing I'm excited for tonight is getting to know Aaliyah she seems like such a sweet girl, I didn't get a chance to see her again when her family came over for dinner because she was at her friends house. How did she turn out so lovely when her brother is the most annoying human on the planet?

I mentally roll my eyes as I get on with the rest of my day. Once my hair was dry I began to straighten it, after about 20 minutes I have finished then begin on my make up. Because I don't plan on leaving the house today I put very little makeup on. I simply put some lip balm on my lips and brushed my eyelashes with mascara.

Today's outfit was a simple oversized black sweater and some high waisted blue jeans. I also put my sliver Micheal Kors watch on my wrist to complete the outfit.

The day went by quickly today, I spent my day simply watching films and playing with Harley.

It was now about 6PM, I had just got off of FaceTime with Georgia, she filled me in with everything that is going on back in England. It made me quite upset seeing all of my friends together having each other's support whenever it's needed, all I need right now is a hug from my best friend but unfortunately she's on the other side of the world.

I walk into my mum and dads room to see my mum choosing between two outfits. "The blue one is my favourite" I say to her making her smile and putting the red one back in her closet.
