9- Teach me

I woke up to an uncomfortable sting in my back, I wriggled a little until I realised I was still in the woods with Shawn lying on sticks and leaves. Shawn was still in a deep sleep, his hair was messy all over his face but he still managed to look as good as ever. His mouth was slightly open with every breath, he is perfect. What am I thinking? We are just friends that would never happen.

I subconsciously move strands of his hair out of his eyes trying not to wake him up, I failed. Shawn's eyes fluttered open meeting with mine a small smile appeared on his face when he stretched his arms up.

"Morning sunshine" his husky voice spoke, melting my heart causing a smile to form on my face.

"Morning Mendes" I replied, chuckling a little at how much he hates mornings.

I pull out my phone to 32 miss calls from my mum and 12 texts from Aaliyah. Shit, probably wasn't the best idea to fall asleep here last night.

I quickly text Aaliyah telling her we are both fine and we will be back soon explaining that we fell asleep.

I text a similar message to my mum and then stand up brushing off all the mud that is all over my body and in my hair.

"We need to leave soon, everyone is still very worried about you" I said extending my hand to help Shawn stand up. He nods in agreement followed by a sigh.

"They won't let me be alone for 5 minutes" he said rolling his eyes.

"If you explain everything they will understand and everything will go back to the way it was before" I said looking into his eyes.

Shawn just smiled down at me " you look so cute in the morning" he said with a toothy smile.

I just brush it off nudging him in the side while we walk to the separate cars. Shawn drives off in his car first and I follow in my mums.

After about 25 minutes of driving we are back at our houses. I give Shawn a hug of confidence before he walks into his house and I walk into mine, he told me to give it half an hour then I should go to my window. I nod in understanding before I walk through my door to be greeted by Harley, my mum and dad.

"I missed you sis" Harley said jumping into my arms.

I chuckle a little before replying "I wasn't even gone that long H but I missed you too" I said kissing the tip of her nose.

"Is he okay?" My mum asks obviously referring to Shawn.

"Yes he's fine he's with his family now, he just needed time to himself" I explain putting Harley on the sofa.

"How come you stayed with him all night?" My dad questioned putting enthusiasm into the word "all"

Both my mum and my dad were looking at me waiting for my reply

I rolled my eyes at both of them "guys I found him, he spoke about all the reasons he needed to get away from reality I listened to him, then we feel asleep. That's it. Nothing else happened." I truthfully spoke.

"Fair enough, right go and get some food in you, you must be staving" my dad said completely dropping the subject, but he did make me realise how hungry I was.

I walk Into the kitchen and cook up a stack of pancakes putting lots of maple syrup over the top of them. While I was tucking into my stack of heaven I texted Aaliyah to check she was okay, she was really worried yesterday I hated seeing her like that she's like my little sister now I really care for her.

While I waited for her reply I go up to my room and take a shower, anything could be in my hair from my choice of bed last night. I wash my hair taking extra time to make sure everything is out of it, I cover my body in my strawberry body wash getting that dirty smell off me.
