8- Missing

Finally I've made it through the week, it's Friday morning and I've started my morning routine, Ive had my shower and I am currently doing my hair, I style it in a high ponytail and put on my normal make up look. After I am happy with my appearance I text Shawn to see what time he will be ready to pick me up, I've got to do this every morning because he is very lazy and gets out of bed late most days.

I go downstairs and speak to my dad for a little while as we both ate breakfast, my mum was getting Harley ready for preschool so they were both still upstairs.

"Morning dad" I said with a smile giving him a hug

We are a very close family we've been through a lot together and I think that's brought us closer.

"Morning sweetheart" my dad replies

We kept the conversation going about random topics until we had both finished.

After I had ate I go back upstairs to see what Shawn said but there was no reply, confused I look out of my window to see Shawn's blind are still down so I just assume he is still asleep and will be late, so I decided to walk to school instead of waiting for him to wake up.

The walk wasn't that long, I really don't understand why Shawn drives if we live so close to school. I arrive and put all my books in my locker to be greeted my Yasmin.

"Hey Ali, no Shawn today?" She said as I walked in alone today

"No, I think he's slept in I'm really not surprised when it comes to him" I said letting out a chuckle.

The day wasn't long, it went quite fast actually. I was sat in English counting down the seconds until I can leave and enjoy the weekend. I do like English but it's so boring sometimes, the teacher didn't exactly help either with his draining voice.

Yasmin's head was down in the desk so I decided to text her to wake her up, this teacher is strict and would probably give her detention if he saw her asleep.

To Yasmin❤️:
"Wake up sleepy head"

I see her phone vibrate in her hand causing her to jump up in her seat causing a loud noice making me laugh a little.

I decide to text Shawn as well to see if he finally made it out of bed.

To Shawn☺️:

"Didn't feel like school today? You left me to walk on my own 😭"

Every time I text Shawn I get an instant reply, normally within seconds, but I start to get a bit concerned when he doesn't reply, it's been 10 minutes but it's not just that, he didn't even reply to my text this morning. Something Is going on with him today, he seemed fine yesterday when he gave me a lift home.

On the walk home I try to think of all the different situations that could result in him not texting me back, I mean he could have just lost his phone, but that doesn't explain why he wasn't in school.

I got home to find a very concerned looking Karen, Manny and Aaliyah in my living room with my parents.

"Alicia" Karen ran over to me giving me a hug.

"Hey guys, is everything okay?" I say wondering if they are here because of Shawn.

"Was Shawn In school today?" Manny asked running his hand through his hair, I shake my head getting a bit worried now.

"Where is he?" I ask "he hasn't answered my texts all day which isn't like him" I say placing my school bag down on the floor.

"That's why we are here, to see if he's spoke to you, he left about 8pm last night and hasn't came home can you think of anywhere he could be?" Aaliyah said with tears brimming in her eyes. I walk over to her and give her a hug.
