7- Fairground

I woke up with a smile on my face knowing that today is Saturday and I don't have to go to school. I scrolled through my phone for about 10 minutes when I heard a knock on my door.

"Come in" I half shouted shutting my eyes because whoever has just walked in turned the lights on.

"Alicia can you take Harley to the fairground on the park today? We are getting some final deliveries for the house today so it would be easier if you two weren't in" my mum asked sitting on the end of my bed.

"Sure, I'll take her as soon as I'm ready. I'll go round as see if Aaliyah and Shawn want to come too." I say getting out of bed.

"Okay good idea" my mum said as she left my room.

I got up and in the shower, not washing my hair because I did yesterday. After I was clean and out the shower i put a towel around my body and walked into my closet, I picked some jeans and an oversized plain white sweater because it's getting cold here now that it's getting into October.

I styled my hair simply in a ponytail and I put on my everyday make up. Once I had eaten breakfast and spoke to my family I grab my phone and make my way to the Mendes household.

I knock on their door and Karen opens it. "Oh what a nice surprise, what can I do for you sweetheart?" Karen spoke in her familiar accent.

"Hi Karen" I said giving her a hug then continuing "I was just wondering if Aaliyah and Shawn wanted to come with Harley and I to the fairground on the park today" I stated.

"Well Aaliyah has just gone to the shop she will be back in about ten minutes and Shawn is up in his room so you can go and ask him if you want, i'm sure the two of them would love to go" Karen replied with a smile.

I thanked Karen then made my way up the stairs to the room I assume is Shawn's, I've never been in their house before it's the same layout as our house.

When I got into his room he wasn't in there, "Shawn?" I said confused a little.

I turn around to see Shawn with a white towel around his torso waist shirtless in his bathroom, he seen me through the mirror reflection then turned around to look at me.

"Sorry your mum said I could come up to your room" I said turning around to look the other way.

Shawn chuckled then replied "sunshine it's okay, what can I do for you?"

" I just wanted to know of you were up for going to the fair with me, Aaliyah and Harley today?" I say turning back around trying not to look anywhere other than his eyes.

"Yeah I'd love to just let me get dressed, you can stay in here and wait" he said walking into his closet.

I sat on his bed and looked out of the window into my room. I'm actually surprised at how much of my room is visible. I then move onto looking at some of the picture in his room, most of them are with Aaliyah and some are with a group of the guys from school and some people I don't know.

Shawn came up behind me and put his arms around my shoulders embracing me in a hug from behind.

"You think a lot of your sister don't you" I say not turning around to look at him

"she's my best friend" he simply says causing me to smile.

"Who are these people?" I question picking up one of the pictures with the guys in that I don't recognise.

"They are my friends from England, I used to spend a lot of time there growing up with my moms side of the family, I've known them my whole life" he says taking his arms off me and moving to the side of me. "We try to go. Ack once a year but it's hard with my mom and dad being in work and having to plan to go to Portugal too" Shawn explained I nodded in agreement.
