18- Muffins

We both looking at each other with our eyes wide open as I heard the key enter the front door.

"Shower!" I said hoping he would understand my thoughts and I pulled my jeans up to my waist as fast as possible.

Shawn grabs all his clothes and throws then into the bathroom as I finally clipped the back of my bra strap.

Harley's footsteps ran up the stairs and in the direction of my room, luckily I was dressed by then.

Closely behind Harley was my mum she came in with a smile and then a confused look.

"Shawn's jeep is on our driveway I thought he would be here, with you? is everything okay did something happen?" she said getting concerned

Well yes something did happen but it is definitely not what my mum was thinking of.

"no everything is fine mum, Shawn just fell over in the woods and got dirty he is just in the shower" I say making it up as I go along

Shenods her head in understanding and leaves the room with no further questions.

"Do you love Shawn" Harley randomly askes

"I love Shawn very very much" I say tapping her on the end of her nose with my index finger.

"What is love?" she said using all of her energy to pull herself up onto the bed beside me where I was sitting.

"Love is when you care about someone or something so much, its when you miss them when they aren't with you, all you want is to be by their side all day everyday" I say playing with her hair.

"So, kind of like chocolate muffins?" she said, her face lit up at the mention of muffins

"Yes, like chocolate muffins" I laugh

"Who said muffins?" Shawn said leaving the bathroom with his clothes back on and wet hair.

I shake my head and laugh at his love for muffins, then I got an idea that would make all of us here happy.

"anyone want to make muffins?" I say loving at Harley but it was clear that Shawn was the happiest about my suggestion.

we make our way to the kitchen and get everything we need out of the cupboards and onto the counter. Shawn places Harley on top of the counter so she was able to take part in the mixing of the ingredients, she cracks the first egg into the bowl as well as half the shell and continues putting everything else into the bowl.

Shawn begins to pour the flour into the bowl but Harley purposely knocks him so the flour goes all over his shirt. And this is where things get messy and my parents will kill us for the mess we are about to make.

Shawn clearly has a shocked expression on his face and Harley can barely breath she is giggling so much.

"Ray you've done it this time" Shawn said with a devil laugh and begins to tickle her while pouring flour on her head and getting it over me too, which I was defiantly not happy about.

I thought the best way to attack Shawn would be to surprise him, we was still busy tickling Harley so now is my chance, I sneak up behind him grabbing an egg in the process I get right behind him ready to crack the egg on his head but just as my arm reached out to his head he quickly spins around grabbing my head and pulling me close to him with his other hand. He brings my hand down to my own head forcing me to crack the egg all over my hair.

Shawn began to laugh, but my face was still in shock, before I could get out of his grip he leans down to kiss my lips however, as always we were interrupted but Harley, she had jumped onto Shawn's back and cracks two eggs over his face, his expression quickly changed as egg yoke drips down his face.

I tried to hide my laugh but that failed because of how close I was to Shawn, his eyes narrowed at me and placed Harley on the floor. He walks outside to the garden, I gave Harley a confused look and took her hand walking in the direction of the garden.

The second the back door was closed I felt a cold rush down my back I turned around to see Shawn stood looking very pleased with himself holding a hose getting both me and Harley completed drenched with cold water.

I try to tackle Shawn, I manage to get hold of the hose redirecting it his face getting his hair all wet. I moved closer to the pool wanting to push him in when we got there however he was too smart for my plans he picked me up bridal style and threatened me.

"Sunshine I won't drop you in the pool on one condition" he said with a devil smile.

"What is that?" I say tightening my arms around his neck.

He leans closer to me so Harley can't here him.

"you take a shower with me when this is over" He whispers with a wink.

"Shawn you cracked an egg on my clean hair, no showers for you" I say tapping the end of his nose within my index finger.

"Fine, but you know what that means" he said as he releases his grip around my body making me enter the pool with a splash.

I stand up in the shallow end moving the hair out of my face and give him the middle finger because Harley had gone back inside.

I begin to pretend being freezing, It was the beginning of December so it was realistic however our pool was heated, but Shawn doesn't know that.

I chatter my teeth and hug my body moving closer to the edge of the pool.

"At least help me out" I say holding my hand out to Shawn

"Sunshine How do I know you won't pull me in" he says bending down at the side of the pool.

"Shawn it's freezing can you please just help me out" I say sounding annoyed.

Shawn notices my annoyance and puts his arm out to help me out of the pool. I would personally like to thank my acting teacher from England for that performance because the second my hand touched his he is beside me in the pool.

He looks annoyed that I had lied to him but I was laughing too much for him to stay in a mood.

"I hate you" he says splashing me with water, then bringing me close to him.

I wrap my legs around his body and my arms around his neck.

" I love you too Mendes" I say connecting our lips, I can feel him smile into the kiss which makes me giggle a little.

"I'm so glad to have you back" he said reconnecting our lips.

"Hey love birds, if you don't come and clean this kitchen right now you are sleeping in the pool" my mum shouts from the kitchen door trying to hide her smile.

We both laugh at my mums attempt to be angry and get out of the pool to do as she asked. What a day this has been.
