Chapter Sixteen - Being Named As A Fool.
-----
GRACE'S POV
"Alex?" I muttered unable to comprehend his presence here.
He worked here?
Was he really a clerk?
He's too handsome to be a clerk.
My wide eye was noticed by him and he smirked like he usually did, but it was still constrained. He looked deep in my eyes and his eyes burned. He tightened his fists.
"Jasmine, apologize." He ordered in a time that I had never heard from him. It was straight and emotionless but his eyes burned...with fury? Was he some head?
"But, sir, she used the private elevator, went to the penthouse and now she is here, late." She reasoned out. Alex's eyes were amused as it is but he immediately changed them back, to an emotionless this time.
"I know. Apologize." He muttered under his breath. He must have some authority.
"Apologies, Ms. Duncan," She said and I could feel her glare me. I looked down feeling her eyes roam around me.
"Alex, what's going on?" I asked him and her mouth went open. I looked at her and then Alex. Am I the only one who knows nothing?
"Did you just call him..." Alex cut her off.
"Off to work, Jasmine." He said and she kept quiet. Alex turned around and walked away. He then stopped and turned towards me and then I understood I was supposed to follow him.
He walked and I followed him. He opened a door and led in and then when I was walking in, the door closed on my face making my nose go numb with pain.
How was I supposed to know that he wasn't a gentleman!
"Come on in, Ms. Duncan." He said and I walked in with a hand on my now painful nose. He really had a way to put it out for me. I'm already stressed her and he has to d such trivial things to hurt me.
Stupid arrogant man!
He walked forward in his glorious stance with his head held high. He went and sat on the chair, to be specific, the boss's chair. My eyes widened.
"What the hell are you doing? The Boss might come and fire you and never hire me!" I yelled at him. He just chuckled.
"He is already here." He mentioned and I looked around to only find him in the room with me. Then I read the nameplate on the table, 'Cruz Alexander Chadwick, CEO'
Then I looked at his attire; an Armani suit, the way he talked; like he was a king, the way he ordered; like he was used to, the amount he was arrogant; because he knew he had a lot to be proud of.
I felt foolish and stupid. I was treating him like a normal person and he wasn't. He was a billionaire, who was used to everyone bowing down to their word and I had done talking back to him.
