Chapter Twenty-Seven - Being Named As Stubborn.

ALEX'S POV

I wanted Grace out of that trap house and I had to do something. I was still thinking of a way to do something while I stayed at her place. I had aimed to take her with me when I leave this place.

Also, I wanted to use the clause that I had sneakily put in her clause. Loris had helped me put it and get her to sign it without her knowing. I had to have a reason to get her to stay there. I couldn't just randomly state the clause.

But, I was adamant that I had to take her with me.

Somehow, Grace had a party organised for Wade and his family. She was so kind-hearted that I could barely contain myself from pulling her and kissing the living daylights out of her. I composed myself and maintained a decent face.

When I saw Grace, she looked simply beautiful. I was in awe with her simplicity and elegance. She greeted the crew; all people with love and affectionate. The fact that they were really reciprocating all those feelings and not faking it at all was mesmerizing me.

When I smile at a person he will smile back but 99% of people had ulterior motives behind that smile. But these people didn't look like it. It felt odd and also comforting.

Even all the kids loved her. And everyone in the room adored her as well as each other. It was like she was the life and the glue that was holding everything together. Also, it felt like a blood-related family, when it was not the case.

"Play with us, come on." Lee came to me and asked with authority. I chuckled at the little boy. I could see Wade's facial features in him. He was one naughty boy. 

"Lee, won't you introduce me to your friends?" I asked him. And he was happy like a sun. He nodded brightly as he held my hand and walked with pride to his so-called crew.

"This is Jack, Uncle M's son and this beautiful is Betty, Aunt B's daughter and of course, my evil twin, Lyra." Lee was a big flirt and a charmer. I let out a small laugh before joining with the little crew.

Everyone was busy talking to each other. Everyone came to talk to me, too. All of them were nice and humble people. I knew more about Grace and her life. Also how simple each one of their lives was. Their life was struggling, but simple.

The whole party was amazing, except for the incident with one of the guys I recalled as John. Grace seemed troubled with him and I was keeping an eye on him. And he did make a wrong move.

I immediately went to save her. She hugged me so tightly that I could feel her pain. She felt perfect in my arms. I caressed her trying to soothe her down and it seemed to be working.

I didn't want to ruin the life of the party, so I took Grace in the room and talked to her. She said she was fine. I gave her a comforting hug and she smiled. It felt good.

The party was a huge success. It was all smiles and rainbows everywhere. It was a decent party for all I knew.

I still didn't pull out the 'stay with me' clause card and the night was already ending. I was still thinking and trying to sort out my thoughts to get my plan on wheels, but there didn't seem any way for it.

Dylan was about to come to pick me up. I had to do something soon.

The doorbell rang and I thought Dylan was here but there was an unknown face on the door. The guy was covered in blood and looked restless. I stayed knowing there were only three women, in case of need of any help.
