Heated Mornings & Shocking Discoveries
KAT
The bright sun rays of the morning shone in my face, making my eyes flutter open. At first glance, I didn't have a clue where I was, but as I saw the old wooden creaky door across the room and I felt the old ratty bed sheets around me, I understood that I was still in the cabin by The Wall.
I glanced at Noel snoring softly beside me. He had one of his arms wrapped around me and because I was hogging all of the blankets, I could see a clear view of his toned, bare back.
I sighed. Curse Noel and his no respect for boundaries.
Carefully so I didn't wake him, I pulled Noel's arm off from around me and sat up in bed. Like a towel, I wrapped the blanket around my body to cover up my exposed skin and found myself rolling my eyes. My wrinkled dress was hanging ever so carelessly on the window ceil where Noel happily discarded it last night and right next to it was a pile where I had tossed Noel's shirt and shorts. You won't be needing this, He had said as he slipped the dress from my body and as I had taken off his shirt too, I simply agreed with him. We really didn't need it.
I leaned my head against the headboard and looked back at Noel again. He looked so peaceful in his sleep and as I gawked at him, I remembered the events of last night and how perfect it all was. I sounded like some love struck teenager, but it was true. It was perfect and it happened with someone who was perfect, which was just fine with me. I never expected for Noel and I to sleep together, but obviously Noel didn't like to play by the rules.
The more I thought about it, the more I started to blush to myself. I could feel the air temperature starting to rise and I knew that if it got any higher, Noel would wake up soon. He just looked so at peace that I didn't want to disturb him.
Carefully, I wrapped the blankets tighter around my body and slid off the bed. I shivered, despite being covered up, and tip toed towards the window ceil to reach for my dress.
"Taking the blanket with you does nothing. I've already seen what I needed to see, remember?"
I froze and slowly turned back around as if I had been caught stealing. Noel was smiling up at me as he too walked around the bed to reach for his shorts.
As he casually slipped them on, I bit my lip. "Yeah, remember when I said 'no funny business'?"
Noel chuckled and walked towards me with a look of pride on his face. "Oh well you sure threw that rule out the window."
I blushed at his words and leaned in to kiss him to prevent myself from babbling. It was short and sweet and the butterflies still erupted in my stomach when our lips touched.
"Well, I wouldn't say that I regret it," Noel mumbled. "Rules are made to be broken."
"I think that's your life motto," I scoffed.
Noel chuckled again and eyed my body up and down. At first, I thought he was just being a hormonal guy, but after he stared for a little longer, I found myself looking down at my body.
And of course, the blanket had to have fallen on the floor...
Completely flustered and exposed, I reached for my dress and quickly slipped it over my head. Throughout my panic, Noel just sat back against the edge of the bed and laughed, not giving a care about my embarrassment. Ugh, boys...
"You're beautiful," Noel stated, giving me another one of his classic smirks. My eyes must have been out of my head because I certainly didn't feel beautiful. My hair was a crazy, dirty mess and my skin definitely was an oily disaster. I've never been a morning person and especially after last night, I would have thought I looked like a zombie.
