Y/n pov

"I thought I lost you." he chocked out. I looked over at Dan as I hugged Phil back, rubbing his back to calm him down. Dan had a small face of pain as he watched his best friend breaking down right in front of him.

"Sorry I don't have our ice cream. I gave them to some little kids to help their mum out." Phil said after a while, sitting up and wiping his tears.

"That's alright love. That was a kind thing for you to do." he shakily nodded his head. He looked up at Dan and they stared at each other. After a while of them just staring, Phil sighed and got up off the couch.

"Im gonna go talk to Dan, alright?" I nodded my head. He weakly smiled at me before walking out of the room, Dan hot of his heels.

I couldn't hear alot of what they were saying. I heard scattered words here and there that wouldn't make any sense except in context. There were points where I heard Phil trying not to cry and choking on his own breath, having to glue myself to the couch not wanting to interrupt them. Phil had to learn how to live without me all over again too.

Phil came in after a while and sat next to me. He looked over at me with a different look in his eyes, one I hadn't seen for a while.

He gently placed a hand on my cheek. "Im going to stay here tonight, alright?" I nodded my head, focusing on not holding Phil's hand to my face. "You can walk by yourself, right? Dan wants me to stay here." I nodded again. Phil got up, taking his hand off my cheek and bring me back to reality.

"Phil" I spoke too quickly for my brain to process what I was going to say next. I started panicking as he stood in the middle of the room looking at me. I stumbled upon letters, unsure of what I was suppose to say.

He walked back over to me and sat down. "Take your time y/n." I looked up at him then down to where he had his hands folded in his lap.

"Can I see your hand?" I asked, immediately regretting it after the look he gave me. But none the less he held his hand out. I quickly grabbed it and placed it back on my cheek, squeezing my eyes shut tight, trying to go to the past where everything was better. I felt him untense from tension I didn't even know was there. It was a minute before I felt him make any kind of movement. But the one he chose shocked me.

  He kissed me.

  Kissed me.

Something he hadn't done in what felt like forever.

When I pulled back, I stared at him. Just stared at him, to confused and happy to speak. It didn't matter though because he spoke for me.

"Everything will be fine." he whispered to me. "Everything will go back to what it use to be. Even better than that. I just need time." I continued to just look at him, still unable to form any kind of communication. "I love you y/n. Just know that."
