•Day Ten•

"Hey, hey Sadie."

"Ethan don't you dare."

"Hey Sadie guess what day it is."

"Please don't."

"HUMP DAYYY!!!"

"Ughhh! I swear to god if I hear that one more time..."

"Hey, hey Sadie" Cooper says coming up to me.

"Cooper you better not."

"Guess what day it is."

"Hump day yes I know," I quickly finish so he doesn't get the chance.

"Actually I was gonna say it's your first game day but HUMP DAYYYYY!"

"Oh my god I am so done with you two!"

Mentally cursing myself for coming to school today, I walk towards Chloe's locker with twiddle dee and twiddle dum closely following behind me. I swear those two never miss one Wednesday without mimicking that stupid camel commercial.

"Sadie! We have our first dame today!" Chloe squeals in excitement.

"I know! I'm so excited! We are going to beat their asses."

"You boys better come and be our cheerleaders," she threatens half-jokingly.

"Of course babe. Anything for you," Seth responds as he approaches and kisses Chloe's cheek.

"Where's Jonah?" I ask.

"I don't know, I didn't see his car in the parking lot today" Ethan says.

"Maybe he just overslept," Cooper suggests.

"Or maybe he's sick," Chloe adds.

"I hope he's okay."

"You guys are so cute together! Have you kissed since the park?" Chloe asks.

"Remember the whole thing with my dad? Well I'm playing it safe so I don't get in more trouble. Maybe after things blow over we'll pick up where we left off but not now."

"I see," she nods.

"You sound so disappointed," I laugh.

"I don't know I just thought you guys would, like, be together now that you know you like each other."

"Chloe it's been a little over a week since I met the guy. I'm not officially saying I like him. I can't. Not yet anyways."

"But you guys like kissed and stuff. I thought you told him."

"I don't know I really can't like him. Not yet. I don't want to rush things."

"He doesn't seem like a bad guy."

"Exactly. He doesn't seem like a bad guy. That doesn't mean he isn't one."

"Jonah isn't Chris, Sadie."

"No guy will ever be like Chris, babe" Ethan adds hugging me from behind. I sigh and lean my head back onto his chest.

"You don't know that."

No one responded after that. I should be careful when it comes to Jonah. People never know who someone truly is. They only see what the person wants them to.

I start to walk to class when someone stops me.

"Sadie I know what your thinking and you're wrong," Ethan says.

"No one can prove me wrong besides him."

With that said, I walk to Gov.
