Sage laughed at a joke Finnegan cracked, but I'd missed the punchline. I nibbled on my lip as I pondered over the fact that James and Anna wanted everyone else to leave. Why would they ask everyone to go like that? What's so important? Sage gently takes hold of my hand and rubs circles onto the back of it with his thumb.

"You alright? You seem distracted."

I nod and force a smile, even though I want to confide in Sage. I always do but feel as though he wouldn't understand or share my curiosity.

"Are you sure, Cas? You've got that look on your face."

"Yeah Sage, I'm just tired," I assure him. "I didn't sleep to well last night.

He quickly looks me up and down, before nodding his head and turning back to Finnegan. Anna walks into the room carrying a tray. She looks at me and gives me a small smile as she sets the tray down on the coffee table. James isn't far behind with the lidless cookie jar in hand. He places the cookie jar down on the coffee table before sitting down on the love seat opposite to the sofa the boys and I were on.

"Now Cassiel, I'm sure you're wondering why I've asked you here, but I'll get to that in a minute." James begins. "What I want to know about is this dream you've been having."

I glanced over at Sage. He's the only one I've ever talked to about my dreams. I mean, the others could've guessed that I was having a dream by the amount of screaming I did when I had them. Anna handed me a cup of tea before nodding, encouraging me to start.

"Well, I'm in a dark room. It's cold and there's this musty damp smell. And there's blood on the floor and the walls. There are four other boys in the room with me. Michael, Gabriel, Nathaniel and Raziel."

"How do you know their names?" Anna asked.

"Because at the end of the dream there's a voice. I think it's female." I say. "She calls Michael's name first and then he disappears, so do the others when she says their name."

"And they look relatively like you?" James questioned.

"Yes, why are you asking all these questions?" I ask, beginning to worry even more.

James and Anna looked at each other, worried expressions written all over their faces.

"Have any of you heard of the Angel-blood Prophecy?" James asked.

"Yeah, I have," Finnegan stated.

"Do you mind filling Sage and Cassiel in on the details?" Anna smiled at him.

"Of course not." Finnegan started. "So basically, the prophecy states that five children, all with Angel names, will come together to form a pack. Four of these kids will be born wolves while the fifth is born human. Their parents, being fully aware of the prophecy, separated their five children in the hopes that they wouldn't have to go through with the ritual."

"Ritual? What ritual?" Sage interrupted. "And what does this have to do with Cassiel?"

"If you would shut up, I'd be able to finish explaining," Finn growled. "Now as we all know you can't avoid fate or destiny, or whatever you want to call it. So the five boys, as we now know that they're all male, have to find each other."

"And I'm the fifth kid, the human," I state.

"Pretty much," Finnegan says.

"So what does that mean for me?" I reply. "Why would my parents, two people I have never met, split me and, who I'm assuming are my brothers, up in the hopes we wouldn't have to perform some stupid ritual?"

"It means, Cassiel, that you aren't going to be human for much longer." Finn cuts me off. "You may have been born human, but you were born to be your family's alpha. I don't know much about the ritual itself but what I do know is how you can find out how the ritual works."

"And how am I supposed to do that? Am I supposed to run around the country blind, looking for four guys I don't even know?" I yell, getting frustrated. "This doesn't make any sense. None of this makes any sense."

"Calm down Cas, it's okay." Sage soothed as he rubbed small circles on my back. "Take a breather."

I breathed in and out trying to calm down. After a few moments, I had managed to calm down enough to nod my head to signal for Finn to keep talking.

"What you just said is partially true. You do have to run around blind, but not looking for all of your brothers. Just one of them. And if you're having dreams about small parts of the ritual, your brother's will be having the same dreams, just with varying amounts of detail and, will essentially, have a better idea of what's going to happen when the ritual takes place. But I don't have all the answers."

"So what you're saying is that Gabriel for example, will have more answers than any of the others," I say, sounding more like a question.

"It depends, have you had any other dreams besides the one you just told us about?" James asked.

"No," I say.

"Well then, you're just going to have to sit around and wait for another one." Finnegan decided.

"But like I said before this doesn't make any sense," I say, beginning to get frustrated again.

"Like I said Cas, I don't have all the answers," Finnegan explained, the sympathy evident in his voice. "All I can tell you is that if you want answers you need to find your brothers and by the looks of it you're just going to have to wait for another dream."

"Why haven't any of you ever told me about this before!" I yelled. "You know this isn't the first time I've been having these dreams. They started just after I moved in!"

"We weren't sure if it was just a fluke or not, Cassie," Anna said. "The day we met, you said you picked up the name from the people staying in the same homeless shelter as you and you kept it. We didn't know what to think."

"Exactly!" Sage chimed in. "That's why this doesn't make any sense. Cas gave himself his name. How can he even be connected to those other guys if he named himself?"

"You seem to forget that Cassiel is apart of a prophecy, Sage," James said slowly. "When it comes to prophecies they always find a way to complete themselves."

"So what happens when the ritual is completed?" I ask.

"Not a lot of people know," Finnegan explained. "There's plenty of theories on what happens when the ritual is performed and completed, but all we know is that there are people who do know what happens. That includes your brothers. One thing that I am certain of is that you need to be human when the ritual is performed. That means you need to be careful Cas. There are people out there who don't want the ritual to be completed."

"What happens if they find out who and where he is?" Sage said quietly.

"They'll either try to turn him or..." Finnegan paused.

"Or what?" James said.

"Or kill him."
