"Please. Pick up the phone, ma. Pick up the phone."

The phone's still ringing. Baka nasa meeting si mommy.

I was driving my way to her office. Maybe I should call dad and tell him everything. Better, I need to talk to them both in mom's office. Yes, I should call dad.

"C'mon, dad. Pick it up."

"Hi. I got you there. I'm away right now. If you need something just say your message after the beep," voice mail ni dad.

"Dad. Dad. We need to talk. About Debby. Call me," then I hanged up.

A few moments later, tumawag agad si dad.

"Son? Son, anong about kay Debby?" dad said on the other line.

"Dad, see me at mom's office. Now."

"I'm in the middle of a mee..."

"Dad, urgent. I'll explain when I reach there."

"Okay. I'll be there in a minute."

"Bye."

Then mom called me too.

"Zed, anak? What's the matter?"

"Mom, I need to talk to you. Dad and I are coming to see you."

"Ano ba ang nangyayari?"

"I'll explain everything later. I'm driving. Bye." then hanged up the phone.

Nakarating din ako sa office ni mom. She welcomed me with an embrace.

"Maupo ka, anak. Ano ba ang nangyayari?"

"I'll explain, mom when dad's here."

"Do you need anything?"

"Coffee will do. Thanks."

She ordered her secretary for 3 cups of coffee.

Dumating din si daddy after 30 minutes.

"Zed! Zed! Ano ba ang nangyayari?" dad said na may pag-aalala sa boses. "Emily, hi. Long time no see. You still look gorgeous as ever."

"Shut up, Charles. I look older," with a blushing face.

"Of course not, Emily. You still look the same as ever. Your beauty never fades," he said that with a wink.

"Bestfriend nga kita. HAHAHA!" she blushed as she said that.

"Mom? Dad? Ugh!" I look disgusted.

"Once nga lang kaming magkita ng daddy mo, ginaganyan mo kami. Family reunion," with a fancy in her voice.

"look, I'm not here for a family reunion. I'm here for Debby."

"Why anak? Ano ba ang nangyari kay Andrea?" nag-aalalang tanong ni dad.

"Oo nga. Napasugod ka dito for..." she added but I stopped her.

"Mom, gaano mo kakilala si Raphy?"

"Raphy? You mean Raphael de Monteverde?" she answered.

"Yes, mom."

"Why? Anong meron kay Raphy?" she asked.

"Just answer it, mom."

"Well, I know his family background," she answered.

"Bakit ba anak? Anong meron sa Raphael na yan?" dad asked.

"Alam na ni Debby ang lahat, dad. I don't know pero may alam na sya. Si Raphy. Si Raphy ang nagsabi sa kanya."

"Whu-what?! W-wait a minute. Paano nasali si.... Oh my gawd!" she almost collapsed.

"Mom? Are you alright?"

"Okay ka lang Emily?"

"I investigated Raphy for awhile since nagkasila ni Debby. That's why I knew his background."

"And? What now, mom?"

"I don't know but I'm wondering about his father, Alejandro," she told us. "Alejandro became my client before. Wala masyadong sinasabi si Alejandro about Raphy. Mas nauna kaming magkakilala ni Raphy compared to Alejandro. Wala ring sinasabi si Raphy about Alejandro," she started.

"...One time, tinanong ko si Alejandro about himself. I knew na mag-ama sila nung time na tinanong ko sya. Yung mga sinabi nya sa akin, hindi nagtugma. So, I contacted Raphy and met him with Alejandro. The following day, Alejandro cancelled the investment with no apparent reason," she ended.

"I got to call someone. May nabanggit si Heide sa akin noon about her husband. Her mafia husband," said dad. "I'm not sure pero I think Eduardo knows the name of her husband," dad said.

Then he called Tito Eduardo. He almost dropped the phone. Nagtaka kami ni mommy.

"Dad? Dad, what happened? Anong sinabi ni..." he cut me off.

"Alejandro. Alejandro Javier de Monteverde. Sya ang napangasawa ni Heide Sequia,"

"Sya ang nagpapatay kay Debby?" I exasperatedly asked.

"Wala ba'ng nasabi sa'yo na kahit ano si Debby?"

"Wala, dad. Nagkukulong sya sa kwarto. Ayaw nya lumabas."

"Kakausapin ko sya. Kakausapin ko ang anak ko," he said courageously.

"Pero Charles, do you think it's the right day for you to just appear in front of her and say, voila! I'm your dad," mom jokingly said.

"Emily..."

"Mom's right, dad. Bukas mo na lang kausapin si Debby. Ako muna magbabantay sa kanya. Dun na muna ako matutulog sa kanila or sa old house ko."

"Pero..."

"Dad. I know nag-aalala ka para sa tunay mong anak. Kahit ako naman nag-aalala para sa kanya."

"Zed, anak kita. Tinuring ka na rin naming tunay na anak ng mommy mo."

"Dad, wag na nga tayong mag drama."

"I'm so proud of you, anak. Kahit alam mo na si Andrea ang tunay kong anak at fake ang marriage namin ng mommy mo, lumaki ka pa rin na maayos at minahal mo si Debby, ang anak ko ng totoo."

Naiiyak si mommy sa eksena. I smirked.

"Oo na. Na bubwisit ka na. It's just that happy lang ako na ganito kayo. No grudges with each other. Let's have dinner, shall we?" she said, happily.

Then we had dinner and after that I head home to where Debby is.
