34) 'Look After Him For Me'

'Are you sure you've got everything?', I asked, as I helped Beau, Luke and Jai pack their bags.

'I think so', Luke replied, 'Oh wait! My phone charger!'

I laughed, and then felt Beau's arms wrap around my waist.

'I'm going to miss you so much', he whispered into my ear.

'I'm gonna miss you too', I said, kissing him.

'PDA ALERT!', Jai complained.

'Get over it!', Beau replied, and kissed me again.

'Okay seriously', I giggled, pulling away from Beau, 'Are you sure you've got everything?'

'Yes we're all set for the airport', Beau replied.

'Okay come on then', I said, heading for the hallway, 'Let's go collect the other two.'

Since Gina was at work, I was bringing the boys to the airport.

Eventually, with Skip and James, we got to our destination.

'Now, mind yourself, okay?', I said to Beau before we boarded the plane.

'I will!', he replied, 'And you win Nationals for me!'

'I'll try!', I laughed, just as their flight was announced to board.

'See you soon', Beau smiled, kissing me before he walked to the terminal.

I sighed as I watched him and the boys leave. These few weeks would be the hardest ever, and I just hoped school would distract me enough that I wouldn't miss Beau too much.

The next two weeks flew, and before we knew it, Nationals was soon upon us.

'Good luck! I know you can do it!', Beau told me when he called me the night before the competition.

'I hope so!', I replied, 'Oh God Beau I miss you so much! I don't know what I'll do until July!'

'I know I can't wait to have you in my arms again', Beau said, 'I've got to go, but I'll call you again tomorrow okay?'

'Yeah sure', I replied, 'Talk to you soon.'

I know it was weird, but I kept replaying Beau's words, 'I know you can do it', in my head for motivation.

'Are you ready Lauren?', Puck asked me, when we were about to go on stage for our final song.

'Yeah let's do it!', I smiled, grabbing hold of his hand as he led me onto the stage.

I never thought two years ago when I first arrived at McKinley that I would be dancing with Noah Puckerman in Chicago!

Believe it or not though, we won! We won Nationals! It was an AMAZING feeling when it was announced: 'And the winners are....'New Directions!''

I don't think I've ever kissed and hugged so many people in my life! We had all worked hard for this moment, and it had finally arrived!

That was nothing until we got back to McKinley though!

We were all a bit scared because the glee club had always been known as the 'Gleek Club', but we needn't have worried.

When we all steppe inside the front door of the school there were banners on all the walls congratulating us and loads of people throwing confetti at us. A few guys even gave me their numbers! I couldn't help but think, 'Where were you last year when I was single?'

We had so much fun the last few days in school, but unfortunately Graduation Day soon came and all my best friends were finished school for ever!

Kurt had recently gotten a letter saying that he hadn't been accepted into NYADA, his dream college ( and mine too ), but Rachel had.

Although Kurt was devastated, he was glad for Rachel, and joined all the rest of us when we went to the train station to see her off. She had to go to New York immediately.

Just before she stepped on the train she asked if she could speak with me in private.

'Is everything okay?', I asked her, noticing the tears in her eyes.

'Lauren I know that we haven't always been best friends', Rachel started, 'But could you, could you so me a favour?'

'Yeah, sure', I shrugged, 'What is it?'

'I know that you really care for Finn', Rachel started, 'So, would you, take care of him for me? He says that he's going to join the army, but I don't believe him.'

'Of course I will!', I said, 'Finn's a really special friend to me.'

'Thank you', Rachel smiled, pulling me in for a hug.

We then went back and joined the rest of the group, and waved Rachel off when she got on the train.

It was heartbreaking to see how upset Finn was, but I was going to keep my promise and look after him.
