18) My First Summer In America

A week after Beau telling me about him and the boy's plans for the Summer, they left for Melbourne.

Surprisingly, I felt really lonesome when they left. I missed them already!

It was okay though because I called Kurt and an hour later, he Mercedes and I were happily watching 'Grease' in my bedroom with a carton of 'Ben and Jerry's'.

The Summer continued this way, spending everyday with Kurt and Mercedes. I still missed the Brooks terribly though, and couldn't wait for them to come home.

I was at home one day, reading in my bedroom, when my phone suddenly began to ring.

'Hello?', I answered it.

'Hey Lauren!', a familiar voice said.

'Beau!', I exclaimed, 'Hey, how are you? How are the boys?'

'We're all great Lauren', Beau replied, 'What about you? How are you?'

'I'm good too', I said, 'So, what's up?'

'Well I just wanted to call you to tell you that Luke just uploaded our first video', Beau explained.

'Really?', I asked, 'That's great! What's it called so I can look it up?'

''Awkward Train Situations'',  Beau said.

'Okay..', I replied, 'That's an, interesting name. I'll look it up straight away.'

'Thanks Lauren', Beau said, 'We've recorded loads more videos too, but we're waiting to see how the first one gets on before uploading more.'

'Well I'll tell the rest of the guys to look it up too so you'll have a good few views', I replied.

'Great!', Beau said, 'Anyway, I've gotta go, Mum is calling me. See you soon Lauren.'

'Yep!', I replied, 'See you!'

The minute I got off the phone I got on my laptop and looked up the boy's video.

Honestly, I wasn't very impressed when I saw it. I just thought they were making idiots of themselves. I mean, Jai was barking at people! It was strange. But then I watched it again, and again, until I was laughing out loud at it.

Over the next few weeks I got the rest of the glee club to watch it, including Finn who had apologized for saying bad things about the Brooks, and in a month, they had over a thousand views.

It hadn't been all due to me though, because believe it or not, the boys started getting their own fan base! They called themselves 'Janoskianators'. The guy's Twitter  followers grew by hundreds, and they started getting friend requests on Facebook from girls all over the world!

It was surreal to see, and hard to imagine that nobody had known who they were just two months before!

 One day, two weeks before we were due to go back to school, I was at home when there was a knock at the front door.

I was just out of the shower so I was just wearing a towel, but thinking it was Kurt, I answered the door.

Imagine my surprise when I saw Beau standing before me.

''BEAU!', I exclaimed, giving him a bear hug.

'Hey Laur', Beau laughed, 'This is a nice greeting!'

'I missed you, and the guys', I said, pulling away from him, 'I thought you weren't back until next week!'

'Yeah, we uh, came home early', Beau replied, looking down, 'Lauren if you don't want me to have a boner in the next few minutes, would you mind putting on more clothes?'

'Oh!', I said, looking down at my attire, 'Sorry I'm just out of the shower! Why don't you come in and I'll go upstairs to change?'

' Actually, don't bother it's too late', Beau smirked at me, while I hit him on the arm, 'Anyway, I just came around to say a quick hello. I've gotta go unpack.'

'Okay', I said, 'What are you doing later?'

'Nothing I guess', Beau shrugged, 'Why?'

'Come around here at seven', I replied.

'Okay', Beau said, confused, 'See you then.'

I smiled as I closed the door once he had left. 

Why did I want him to come around, I hear you ask?

Well I wanted to really thank him for saving me the night I was attacked. I had found it really had over the Summer going out alone, even to the shops, so my parents had sent me to a doctor. I was scared at first, annoyed that they were sending me to a shrink, but it really helped, and made me realize how much worse things would have been if Beau hadn't been there.

To thank him I had bought every Leonardo Di Caprio movie ever released on DVD. Beau was a huge fan of his so I knew he'd like them. I had even wrapped them all up and put a bow on top.

So that night, Beau came over to my house as promised.

'I'll be honest', he said, as I led him into the living room, 'I'm curious you wanted to see me and not the others.'

'This is why, I smiled, picking up the wrapped package and handing it to him, 'This is to say thank you for saving me the night I was attacked.'

'Lauren you shoudn't have!', Beau exclaimed, 'Anybody else would have done it!'

'But YOU did it Beau, and I'm forever grateful', I replied, 'Now open it!'

Beau laughed and then ripped open the paper.

'OH MY GOD!', he exclaimed, when he saw what it was, 'THANK YOU SO MUCH!'

'You're welcome!', I giggled, 'I thought you'd like them.'

'Lauren I love them!', Beau replied, before engulfing me in a hug, 'You're the best!'

I laughed as I put my arms around him to hug him back.

Strange thing was, it felt really good to be in his arms like that, better than anytime Finn hugged that was for sure.

Could it be?

I was falling for Beau Brooks?
