hi so i'm pretty sure all of u by now are aware of my new found obsession with six of crows and bc i feel like it does not get it's recognition it deserves i'm going to tell u all why it's great and why u should read it ok? ok.
1) IT TALKS ABOUT THE TWO SIDES IN A WAR; SHOWING THE READER THAT ACTUALLY, SOMETIMES, BOTH SIDES ARE TO BLAME. THERE IS NO VICTIM. BOTH ARE ATTACKERS WHO SLAUGHTER INNOCENTS.
(bahahahahah these bold, all caps texts make me get anxiety i should stop but nope this is for aestheticcc and emphasis yall no prevailing will be done here)
2) IT SHOWS THE PLACES OF FANTASY WORLDS READERS USUALLY DO NOT ENCOUNTER. FOR EXAMPLE, BEATEN UP AREAS - CORRUPTED AREAS. DIRTY; SCARY; UNWELCOMING AND CRUEL. IT'S REALISTIC.
3) THE CHARACTERS ARE NOT YOUR USUAL, HEROIC PROTAGONISTS. ALL OF THEM ARE, TO PUT IT SIMPLY, CRIMINALS WITH AMAZING, IN DEPTH PASTS THAT SHOW YOU WHY THEY LEAD UP TO THAT POINT.
4) IT HAS A MINIUM AMOUNT OF RACE REPRESENTATION. WHICH ALL BOOKS SHOULD HAVE. WHAT HAS MANKIND DONE TO DESERVE SIX OF CROWS HONESTLY I LOVE THE AUTHOR SO MUCH fnfgdndgdbd
5) IT TALKS ABOUT SLAVERY. INJUSTICE. A BUNCH OF RELEVANT TOPICS THAT PEOPLE SHOULD BE AWARE OF AND KNOW ABOUT.
6) IT'S JUST A REALLY GREAT NOVEL IN GENERAL READ IT
although six of crows has not gained my full love yet like pjo, i think that in the future i'll even enjoy it more than rick's series. that just proves how much i'm invested into this storyline oh gosh i'm inspired to make a story which is fresh and not done so much and avoids stereotypes and clichés. yup once i get that punch of determination i am totally going to write something like that huhu
