i absolutely loathe people who use semicolons wrongly just for aesthetic ?? for example: the teacher smiled. "aria; this is paige. paige; this is aria." that is not correct and it bugs me so much ?? oh and don't tell me ur excuse of using that was because "commas are overused and semicolons need to be used ffs" because excuse me ?? semicolons should only be used when tHEY NEED TO BE. WHEN IT'S IMPERATIVE. COMMAS ARE OVERUSED BECAUSE IN ALMOST EVERYTHING WE WRITE, WE NEED TO USE IT. THAT'S AN IDOTIC REASON.
