so. i've been scrolling through wattpad's books, curious to read anything interesting, and i come across this one poetry book. i'm not going to say the author's name because i literally forgot already, and this sort of idea is pretty much a trend in romance poetry so it's a majority of poets i'm calling out so the person remains unknown - moving on. there's this line in one of the poems, and the poem is titled "him." and this line is: "you were the path to pure happiness." in my opinion, not a mortal human being could be the "path to pure happiness" at all, under no circumstances. do see how unrealistic that sounds? the path to pure happiness is yourself, mate. focus on self-love, focus on self-growth, focus on self-improvement, and focus on self-care - if you achieve all of the following that is pure happiness. you are the key to your own joy. nobody else can make you as happy as you can yourself when you focus on yourself and your well being. 'cause, imo, when you're well and swell, and you're emotionally and mentally stable, have self-acceptance, bloom and improvement, i think that'll be the moment you'll be most overjoyed. you're on the path to pure happiness right now if you're trying. baby steps even count on the journey too so don't think it's not enough. take your time, heal, grow, and be the best version of yourself you can be.
