Chapter Eighteen - A Party To Remember

The next day I started to make a bit of routine for myself while things are feeling calmer.

I started my day off eating a good breakfast and having a laugh with Trav.

Then I went to training with the other pack members. We trained for a few hours in human and wolf forms. It felt amazing to train again, I had a few pack members spar with me thinking I'd be an easy win and got their àŕśè kicked.

After that I met up Evey and Katy and had lunch with them at the pack house. We all get along really well, so it was great having girlfriends.

"So, are you looking forward to the party tonight?" Evey asks us.

"What party?" I ask, confused this is the first I'm hearing of it. 

"Oh, Trav and I are having an engagement party tonight! The whole pack is invited. We even invited a few Alphas and Betas of near by packs. I think your old one is coming actually." Katy replies.

"Oh really? I wonder why Derek or Steve never told me..." I trail off.

"Because we were going to surprise you! Katy, you weren't ment to tell her." Derek pipes in, walking into the dining room.

"Oh, śhìť! Sorry Alpha! I completely forgot!" Katy winces.

"Hold on, Steve will be visiting tonight?!" I say excitedly.

"Yeah baby, he'll get here about an hour into the party." Derek responds.

I run and jump up onto him and kiss him while he holds me up by my thighs. "Thank you babe!" I say while kissing his face.

He chuckles at me, "No worries beautiful."

Hours later and the outdoor area is lit up with music, food and drinks for everyone to enjoy.

Im wearing a black body hugging cocktail dress with my hair lightly curled and smokey eyes like Evey did for my date.

I walk over to Derek and pull his hand so he'll come with me to the dance floor. There's dance music playing at the moment, so we have fun dancing and laughing at how bad we are at it.

Eventually the song becomes slow and he pulls me close to him so our bodies are flush against each other. I can feel his muscles under his shirt we're that close, I can't help but feel lucky he's my mate. I wrap my hands around his neck while his hands are wrapped around my waist.

"You know, I know it's only been like two weeks or so. But they have been the best weeks of my life." He whispers in my ear.

"I couldn't agree more. I never thought I'd be so happy after finding my mate, honestly it was a daunting thought." I chuckle.

"May I cut in?" A new voice chimes in.

As I turn my head to the source, I jump up and down like a sad fan girl. My brother finally got here! I hug him tightly after what feels like so long since my last one.

"She's all yours but don't lose her on me. Good to see ya, Steve." Derek jokes while patting his shoulder.

"No worries." Steve replies.

We just hug swaying slowly to the song. I missed my brother so much. Not seeing him hug his coffee in the morning, is one of the many little things I miss about him.

"How's Julie? Is she here?" I ask after some time.

"She's here and she's good, we completed the mating process too." He says wiggling his eye brows.
