Betty's POV

I could feel my heart beating out of my chest just watching Archie sing that song. Our eyes where linked the entire time and there where so many emotions that I couldn't even think straight. I was snatched from my thoughts by the sound of Veronica,Jughead and the others cheering and clapping behind me, I quickly joined in to avoid suspicion from everybody else. I needed to talk to someone about this. I quickly turned around before grabbing Veronica's wrist pulling her in the direction of the bathroom, she kept on questioning what was happening but I had to get out of the gym. We both speeded through the bathroom door, Veronica standing by the sinks while I checked to see that the remainder of the room was empty. "B, what's going on?" Veronica questioned as i leant myself up against the tiled walls, tightening my eyes closed. To be honest I didn't know what was wrong or if anything was, I was just so overwhelmed. "I don't know V, I just had to get out of there, it was all so overwhelming." I explained as I pressed my hand to my forehead while taking a deep breath. "Is it because the song Archie sang was directed at you?" She questioned as she approached me slowly while sliding next to me on the wall. I quickly removed my hand from my forehead meeting her eyes with a surprised look. "How did you know?" I questioned in confusion, only for Veronica to roll her eyes at me. "Oh come on B, anyone whose anybody would know that, that song was pretty much written for and about you. It's obvious." She explained as laughs escaped her lips. A smile found its way on to my face only for it to fall slightly remembering the situation. "I don't know what to do V. Archie and I we...we are on such awkward terms right now and I want to be together again more than anything, I just.. ugh...what do I do?" I questioned as I turned my head to meet her eyes. "Talk to him, that's all you guys can do. It's the only way things will be sorted. Maybe not here at the dance but sometime at Ethel's or even tomorrow. You guys miss each other too much it's making you both crazy." She explained as she faced me with a simple yet loving look. I nodded in response while we both smiled at each other before I let out a huge sigh. "Now come on, I need to dance." She stated as she grabbed my hand and we both exited the bathroom, making our way back to the gym.

As we entered the gym, my eyes where immediately drawn to Archie, who was standing next Jughead and Reggie caught deep in a conversation. I couldn't take my eyes off him. Archie was always attractive in my eyes but something about him tonight just made my body go crazy. The way the shirt fit perfectly over his toned body tight enough to define his muscles yet loose enough that he didn't look ridiculous. I was taken from my inner thoughts when I noticed Archie being distracted from his conversation by seeing me. His mouth slightly parted, while his eyes were full of lust. I delivered him a small smile, him returning a similar one that drove me crazy. The room became silent and all I could hear was the sound of my own heartbeat.

"Well done Andrews." Veronica stated catching my attention as she hugged Archie tightly before turning to return to her spot next to me. "Thanks Ronnie." He said as he took a small step back while throwing his hands into his pockets. I wanted to say something but the words couldn't leave my lips. I knew everyone was waiting for me to say something, thankfully Veronica spoke up and cut the awkward silence. "So dancing time? Whose willing?" Veronica questioned as she stood in the middle of the circle. Kevin and I practically shot our hands up, while Reggie just slung his arm over Veronica's shoulder. "You coming boys?" Kevin questioned as we all began heading to the dance floor. "Nah, I'm gonna grab something from the food table. Performing made me hungry." Archie stated before Jughead chimed in. "I'll join!" He exclaimed causing us all too erupt in laughter before going our seperate ways.

Song after song had passed and I was surprised I was still standing. Kevin had run off some time ago to go find Moose, god knows why seeing as he has a girlfriend but whatever makes Kevin happy. A slow song than began to play and slowly everyone divided off into there pairs. It was now, that I wish Kevin was still here, so I wouldn't be standing here like an idiot. I looked ahead to see Veronica and Reggie slowly easing into a slow dance. I slowly walked up to them. "Kevin disappeared so I've got no one to dance with, I think I'm just going to get a drink and than sit down." I explained to the two of them in raised yet not too loud voice. "I wouldn't be so sure about that." Veronica stated as a smile grew on her face. I looked from her to Reggie to see there smiles radiating. All I could feel right now was confusion. It was then that I heard a voice. His voice.
